Ronaldo
i'm actually quite surprised that so many seem to think Jussi is in the same league as Shay i'm not a massive Given fan but he's streets ahead of Jaskelinen Jussi is a quality keeper. too indecisive and too many mistakes

The College Dropout
Wouldnt be the best first things to although not the worst replacement. Some might see it as a good sign that he is prepared to come and rip the team apart starting at the back - there has been the odd whispering comment from time to time (rare I know) that Given doesnt command his 6 yard box quite as he should?? Given not perfect SHOCK HORROR! Jussi is better than Shay although I'd rather we strengthen elsewhere

80
I wouldn't be particularly distraught... I presume there would be reasoning for the move - either a decent profit to be made on the deal or concerns about all this injuries he's picked up of late. Handling? What like on crosses and corners? Shay doesn't make huge clangers but he also takes very few risks which doesn't help the defence.

Got to agree with dinho on this. Shay is class woulden't swap him for any other keeper, its unbelievably clear to me that it is our defence that is poor. Guest Gemmill
Next season (hypothetical just now I know) His 1st move is to sleep with your mother and break up your parents' marriage. How would you react?

Lloydie
Um, no. You don't sell your best player of several previous seasons and someone who's been there for ages just to make a few pounds and get some familiar faces in. It's a great way to deliver a kick in the guts to the dressing room's morale, it's a great way to make sure your new keeper will have a bloody tough time winning over the fans, and in this case it's absolutely pointless since Jaskeleinen really isn't going to add anything to the side. It would also be a great way to convince me I was right when I wrote on April 30 2007 that Allardyce is the wrong manager for Newcastle and we don't want him here.
