Guest sicko2ndbest
Nip in while the scousers stall Liverpool must find £20M for Quaresma tribalfooball.com - July 07, 2007 Liverpool must offer £20 million if they want to land Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma. Liverpool bid £14 million for Quaresma last week and a Porto source told the News of the World: "Liverpool made us an offer but it was not enough to even begin talks. So we told them to come back with a better offer if they want Quaresma." Sources close to Quaresma say he would be keen on a move - but Porto want £20m. Mr Logic
Can't believe this thread has reached 8 pages already. Read the article again, especially this bit.. And that will possibly include the arrival of a big-name player that will stun the soccer world. There is no quote, it 100% speculative bullshit and if anyone had said this do you not think they would be quoted. It sounds like something Freddy would have said and, if he had, we would be telling him to shut-up. There are people in this thread convinced this is something that came from Mort. The new Toon owner wants to signal his intent to make Newcastle a worldwide brand by signing one of the biggest names in world football. And both Real Madrid striker Raul and Barcelona midfielder Deco are players he has identified as possible transfer targets. A Newcastle source revealed: “Now Mike has overall control of Newcastle he wants to make a statement of intent to the rest of the football world. EDIT: Just seen the other thread. None of those so called 'starlets' will progress into the first team squad and cement a place. Their progress will probably be hampered by a large influx foreign imports Benitez tends to bring in. Canny manager, mind.

Guest Johan
So far there have been good signings, things are still looking good. Would be nice to see 3 signings coming in this week and next. Then we can focus on one or two more additions with late bids.
