Hopefully we can push this through now as I was worried Allardyce rated Carr after a decent preseason. Yeah I noticed Sam told Oba and Milner to switch flanks within the first 15 or so minutes because you could see straight away that Young had been told to give Carr a hard time and Oba wasn't giving him enough protection. But really there is nothing out there right now, and we should be grateful if he does decide to join. Hopefully our rep in Spain is improving after the Luque disaster, all this is paving a way for a late move for Deco imo, sounds crazy, but it just seems like were creating a culture for him to settle into easily. Flip Posted August 19, 2007 Share Posted August 19, 2007 Beletti is maybe not the best defender around, but he would improve our team so massively because hes a much better player then carr and also hella of an experienced player. I hope to see him come, but hes just a one maybe two year solution and can helpå us reach the 5th place. We still need a creative midfielder to play with Geremi and Barton (when hes back) Deco would fit in perfectly if we do decide to play 4-3-3 for the biggest part of the season. He's better defensively than Carr and he'd also add a lot to the side going forward, he's got a lot of energy and loves to bomb up and down the flank.
