I'm not sure. If he'd pushed for the move I'm sure Palace would have let him go. I think he wasn't that fussed at all.

Running down his deal is wise, but still a gamble. Doesn’t get injured, or dropped by Palace as season goes on, he could end up commanding a £10m+ signing on fee, or very high wages due to no fee. If he is dropped / injured, there’s a strong chance he doesn’t go World Cup and suddenly his stock is looking very low. Where the top sides are probably looking elsewhere for the associated wages he’d cost. Might be a ploy to get Palace to sell at a lower value, especially if Glasner tells Parish he could end up being benched.
  4. I'd pay for someone to cut that down just to the questions and all of Burn's responses. Could even cut Humphrey's and that other weird guy out all together and just stick the questions up as text.
  5. I just find Humphrey incredibly toxic in the most linkedin way possible

Nowadays players are sounded out through ‘intermediaries’ long before clubs get to the stage of putting actual bids in. If we had of agreed a fee with Palace it’s almost certain he would have signed IMO. The info that @Shadow Puppets had was that he told the players in our squad that he knows, that he was just waiting for the green light from Palace.

If we have made an offer, then the player has already said yes. Thats how it works nowadays

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I remember someone mentioning squad harmony and having 2 players per nation to help bed in the purples; Bruno and Joelinton Isak and Cheese Slice Tonali and Scalvini?

There’s no way we would have pissed about trying to get things sorted with Palace for as long as we did, if we hadn’t had the thumbs up from his people that he would come.

Why this? I don’t remember any comments from him? If he’d pushed for the move he probably would’ve come.

A player who very clearly, isn't interested in coming to us. Just move on.
  15. The good doctor Kenny Deuchar
  16. Wasn't he a doctor too. Name escapes me though. Just searched, it was Kenny Deuchar. Canny prolific like.
  17. Only fully listened to Eddie's interview on there which I enjoyed and enjoying Burn's so far. No strong feelings either way to Jake.
  18. The podcast documentary on that era is really good
  19. Likewise but I had seen a few of his posts shared on N-O

  21. Taken my daughter out of school today to follow updates about it. The headteacher was livid about it but we just blew her a raspberry and mooned her. Some things in life are more important
  22. I'd love to see that, the 'Mediocre Performance Podcast' "Yeah I get up at 8.10am, got to get to work for 9.00am, I usually just about make it on time if the red lights on the main road are in my favour. I make sure I get the triple chicken sandwich in my meal deal because it's better value for money that way"
  23. Good podcast. The mental health stuff is great and I can relate to Dan’s health anxiety and how it can spiral. Haven’t actually heard someone discuss it like that before.
  24. Still remember that era being around the time Gretna were flying up the leagues, bankrolling a charge to then it all end in tears. Just looked, and they qualified for Europe when in 1st Division Can’t remember the striker they had who scored like 40+ each season.
