  1. And put who on ? We forgot to sign a left back in the last two transfer windows.
  2. Who put our corner in before as it was a decent corner for once ?
  3. Don't remember the interview but I'm almost certain he said someone could come in and match his holding in the club if they wanted.
  4. Cheers. Unfortunately like I said earlier the only way out of this is a new owner rich enough to sink a boatload of cash into the club. A supporters group can't provide a solution but if they can lose the anti-Ashley focus, they can definitely start requesting better communication if nothing else. Like I said in another thread it doesn't even need a new owner, it's needs an effort by everyone to enourage a new local partner to join Ashley. It's what he wanted to provide the funds for transfers while he sorts the horrible debt. He was searching for one before the last set of protests which kinda put off anyone wanting to join him on the board.
  5. These are just designs sent in, we'll discuss with the winner anything we need adapted from their design.
  6. To be honest I think the whole thing is going the wrong way. Not paying cash into the club causes more problems for the club than it solves. The fact is at the minute Ashley is paying off the clubs cash flow problems at the minute so that we're not running at a loss to anyone but him. if we stop putting money in he has to put more money in that way and that means less chance of him buying new players and more likely he'll try his best to slash the clubs wage bill meaning less players in and more players leaving. What would surely be a better suggestion would be to try and encourage a partner for Ashely. this was something ashley was looking for ages ago but unfortunately because of all the shit that hit the fan with the fans protests etc nobody would want to work anywhere near the man. If we can waken that up again and get that extra millionare alongside Ashley who also has a say in the running of the club (ashley agreed to this before) then we can finally start to move forward again quicker.
  7. So noubt there then to back up any arguments that he said he would spend millions of his own cash funding player purchases.
  8. He didn't make a profit in the last transfer window. The club brought in more cash for players than went out that is all, the club is still running a HUGE loss each season due to the stupid wages.
  9. Which it was and money was spent, we also brought money in, I'm really not sure what point your trying to make ?
  10. No it doesn't money being available means money will be available to buy players. The selling of players was needed to clear the stupidly huge wage bill we have. He does not once in any statement say we will not have to sell any players. Therefore surely by suggesting that you are the "liar and the fraud" ?
  11. From Mike Ashley. That does not at all imply we have to sell players to buy. Mike Ashley is a liar and a fraud. It doesn't imply we don't. He does however say "If the deal is right" suggesting money is an object at the club so we won't be spending large fortunes. I'm not seeing the lies and fraud other than suggesting KK has the say in the players but nobody is 100% certain of what happened there.
  12. I think the only problem they have is for the discount you get which you would have to pay back.
  13. the mackems did exactly the same when they went down, didn't change the season ticket prices and their crowd's went down by about 15,000 - 20,000 Which would have happened anyway. And once they were on the up in the league and played "big games" the attendance rose to a full stadium meaning the club made more money.
  14. Name a better NUFC youth product since 1994. Shola. Edit - as the previous people said, he's hardly a youth product. This argument If all other products of the academy / development are utter s****, the even if N'Zogbia is one of the better ones, this benchmark is so low that it therefore DOES NOT mean he would save us from relegation. In fact i'm finding it impossible to fathom the logic of an argument that involves N'Zogbia and fighting for relegation. Thats probably because such arguments are not based on logic but agendas tbh. Whether he goes on to be a better player at Wigan is irrelevant, he wasnt going to go an be a better player here so cashing in was the best option. Agree with all that.
  15. "cut your nose off, despite your face" LOL it's cut your nose off to spite your face not despite your face The shame is unbearable. Good to hear it

  17. It was worse. I remember Keegan taking Newcastle to Roker Park and they huffed and puffed for 90 mins but we picked them off and won 2-1 because we had class players like Ginola and Beardsley and they had a team of Kevin Nolans. This time they had Cisse and Jones, we had carroll and Shola. Wrong decade man. I know but that was what was going through my mind watching on Sunday. You were comparing us challenging for the top of the table compared to now. That's just plain daft, we've not been in the position for years. If your hopes are that high you need to drag them back down to the earth quick smart as this won't change over night. What we had then and what I expect now are totally different things. I am quite happy to see us spend wisely and follow the Wenger blueprint. I don't see any evidence of it though. We have a temporary manager who has over-stayed his welcome and looks to be recruiting footballers a million miles from Wenger's preferred types. The Tony Pulis blueprint would be a better description. What looks to be to be happening is the board ballsed up at the start of the season. We were then left with no manager wanting to take the job. JK was given the job. He took over and the club was already up s*** creek. It was decided due to the debts the manager would be given £10m cash to spend, this was spent not buy the right people though that was the mistake. We got to January we had another £10m to spend but needed to cut the wage bill because it was to high hence losing all the money. Seems to be a massive clear up will happen this summer with loads of players going and coming in basically to sort the wage bill out. Once that is done the club will be self sufficient and money can be spent to improve the squad keeping the wage bill around the 50% mark. Forget the whole wenger blueprint, that all starts at the youth end of things. Why do you think anyone was ever given any cash to spend? We've run a surplus I'm stupid and believe JK when he said he was told he had £10m to spend. And I seem to remember something in the summer when people still liked Ashley and he did an interview he said he would put £20m into the club to cover the over expense and would put £10m in to transfers the rest would come from the club (which I now realise he meant selling players).
  18. What exactly did he do wrong when he had the ball at his feet ? The movement in front of him was non existent.
