  1. For the umpteenth time, that appears to be what was happening until the later stages of the deadline when they started going over his head. I've not read your previous posts on the subject, so apologies. Are we to believe that Keegan left the club at this stage of the season over one disagreement then?
  2. Think some people (or person) might feel a bit stupid if this lad turns into a star?
  3. Good point, but I see that as a positive thing.
  4. Think you might be right about the geography thing. I'm not in Newcastle, and I blame both sides. I can still see Ashley making the club huge again.
  5. What's the point is suspending the other 6?
  6. The fact that they don't/didn't give 100% for England?
  7. They wouldn't give 100% for us every game, that's the point.
  8. How anyone can pick and choose football clubs to support is beyond me Fan for life, I have no other option.
  9. Didn't you know that he isn't English, he's Scouse? The language barrier gave me a clue but he still played for England sometimes. What makes these comments all the more repulsive and gut wrenching is that he's a life-long Everton supporter. He's a c*** basically. Yep, can't stand him. Along with Gerrard, they're the two players I hate most in football. Pair of wankers. Fully agreed
  10. your kidding arent you? Manager of Newcastle with his best mate upstairs? His first full time managers position being a premiership club with some top top players. i know a lot of people would knock it back, but not the likes of Poyet. With 52000 locals calling for his blood before he set foot in the place? I don't know that he doesn't want it, but I would be surprised if he did. There's no whispers going around that Poyet has been offered it or that he would want it if it was. The only rumour circulating currently is that Wet Spam could soon be near identical to Man City. The Bingo Club awash with money? Doesn't bear thinking about! Nailed on Poyet as Manager now then. Cheers
  11. Fergie didn't sign Ronaldo. Some Man United players suggested that he should be watched, so Man United sent a team out to watch him. They recommended to Ferguson that they should sign him, so Fergie (without watching him) told them to do it. That's exactly the way a club should be run. If we believe everything we've heard then both parties are to blame here. Keegan for not accepting that this is the way things should be done, and the club for not listening to Keegan when he refused certain players. The biggest mistake was bringing Keegan in in the first place, seeing that the club wanted to go in this direction. Everyone could see it would never work.
  12. HTT has quit supporting the club 3 times now, at least. Now he wants to buy it?
  13. It's usually quite exciting speculating about new manager. However, not when Keegan's just left out of the blue, and not when they can't buy anyone for months. It's all a bit shit, but we'll live.
  14. Poyet will. Get in eh? I'm off to buy a box at the ground. Wow indeed. I don't want him either. I'm just pointing out that plenty of people will want the job.
  15. It was ALWAYS going to end this way (well, not this way) but it was a disaster waiting to happen bringing Keegan back.
  16. Yep, I hate the fact that a club has spent as much as Man United to try and catch them.
  17. Spot on. Only one person actually has anything to gain from this. The same person who is either going to get a huge payoff, or get his way with how the club should be structured.
  18. It's not about the player though; it's about the Chairman making deals without the say so of the manager. Still, I think Freddie would make a better manager than Roeder anyway.
  19. So the players are all professional, but they'll get us relegated without Keegan? What a load of shite.
  20. He said something on Revista but I'm sure he didn't describe the player just revealed the details, he was bumming Jonas though saying he's great and said our scouts have done very well to secure Jonas,Colo and Xisco. I'll tell you what, I know a lot of people believe that if keegan goes , no one will want anything to do with us, but I disagree. I think a lot of managers would be very impressed with some of the players we have been able to bring in, particularly in Spain. Colo and Jonas in particular would have turned some heads. 2 youngish Argentine internationals with a good amount of time ahead of them. Probably why the rumours of a manager from Spain coming in are flying about today then.
  21. Yeah petelockey i can see what you're saying there, Ashley did say that about Wise. But the thing is, if you remember the KK Milner interview before the Arsenal game (it can be found on the BBC website, the 9 minute long one), towards the end of the interview the journalists asked KK about Kamil Zayatte and whether he was training at the club. KK confirmed he had trained with us, and that he liked the look of him because he played more than one position. KK then said something along the lines of: "look i'm not saying anymore because it would be wrong to let Dennis and Jeff know what i think of the player through you lot, without speaking to them myself first" When he spoke the emphasis was on Wise. It seems he does have a big role to play in bringing in players. It was the same with KK's interview about Jonas, which is why everyone gave me so much stick. KK said Dennis called and told him "i got this player called spiderman in, he's great you'll have to check him out" an KK then said he checked him out and he seemed a good prospect. Points to the fact that Keegan has final say though, although that'll be ignored. The Zayatte quote does yeah. The spiderman one doesn't. So basically we'll never know.

  23. he didn't or he would have appointed wise as manager. they have different jobs and responsibilities. My point is that Dennis Wise would have no real clue which players we needed, much as Keegan.Wise had been operating away from top class football,ie Premier League, for as long as Keegan.Keegans advantage is that he has worked at that managerial level, old school, buy and sell the players he wants, for 10 or so years. The highest level Wise has been in a mangerial/administrative role was at Millwall. You do realise a lot of clubs have teams working on finding players and negotiating transfers with them don't you? Two good examples are Man United and Arsenal. You do realise that Man United's "transfer team" signed Ronaldo, right?
