Not surprised at all by this. The club know that Carroll would favour a loan back to us rather than another club and that Rodgers has very publicly cast Carroll aside and can once again completely dictate the terms of the transfer.
-
What a team they had that year. Only time I ever saw the old '4 step' rule enforced was in the away leg.
-
Well, D3 is looking likely but they need to have to consituent parts of a working football club, which they don't seem to have so far.
-
10 SFL clubs against them going into D1 already.
-
£3m is decent for a squad player with a year left on his deal.
-
So we're banking on Taylor avoiding a major injury for the whole season? When's the last time that happened?
-
I read that as £1.8m per year by the club at Ashley's direction, you have to consider the wayward writing style of Lee Ryder.
-
How much has been spent on it? Does anyone actually know the amount?

As long as there is still a stadium, there is the opportunity for a club of some sorts to reform. Once you remove that, then the barriers to a resurrection are ten times what they were before.

I'm not an expert on the Ibrox area, but I'm going to wager that it's not quite as desirable a location as Highbury. Also, Arsenal had a new ground, this would be seen as wiping the old club out of existence and therefore subject to animosity from Rangers fans. In fact, you'd likely alienate a large chunk of your local market, whereas with Arsenal the opposite was true.
-
Parts of Ibrox are listed, so it would be a very expensive (and arguably very unpopular) conversion. Someone would buy the stadium to lease to whatever footballing entity eventually takes on the rangers mantle.

Green is an idiot. He knows he is in the wrong on TUPE and is trying to strongarm players into staying by making their lives uncomfortable. If his legal challenge prevented a transfer and that challenge was proved to be unfounded, those players could seek damages for loss of earnings which would swiftly put them back into administration.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18108973 So, Rangers fans are going to boycott away games next season (this assuming they still exist)- i thought the reason the SPL should keep them is becauuse of the oh-so-important away followings they take to other grounds. Well, if that's gone then it makes the decision of the other SPL clubs a lot easier!

I wish HMRC would hurry up and get their case sorted- right now the biggest losers are the public, who are still owed a small fortune. The government should never have removed the taxman's status as preferred creditor, it's open season for smoke-and-mirrors acts like Whyte.
-
The cost of raw materials has gone through the roof since the last development, I can't see it being economically viable (whereas the numbers stacked up for the 2000 expansion as it also added significant extra capacity for boxes). And why are people arguing about the debt (aka what Ashley's left pocket owes Ashley's right pocket). All part of the same pair of pants.
-
You'd think the administrators would have worked a plan to at least see the season out- but if they're out of cash then they're out of cash.
-
It's still there and still shows sports, but have never noticed anything NUFC-specific in there.
-
By punishing Rangers by association, they are most likely trying to hurry the process which rids the club of any involvement of Whyte. I reckon this is a huge carve up, HMRC will blow a fuse and demand its cash via liquidation.
-
Given the situation at Rangers and the fate of some of his previous businesses, I'm pretty sure he could have picked his words a little better.
-
Maybe he should pay a few Mill a year and but also maybe charge interest on his loans, fairs fair an all that, eh ?? Maybe he could have just not injected any more money and watched his initial investment go up in smoke?
-
Aha. Yes I was looking at NUF Company.
-
"As at June 2011 we had positive cash balances of £9.5m"- page 2, Financing Balance sheet- cash = nil Note 14, Bank overdraft £2.07m Unless they are being obtuse with their words and they are not in fact referring to a positive net cash balance.
-
Can anyone explain how the cash position in the directors report reconciles to that shown in the balance sheet and notes?
-
Will he get the same dressing-down as was given to Enrique for doing the same thing last season?
-
And it was.
