Defender, signed him earlier this year, has looked promising.
  2. Can see quite a few families going with the cheap tickets as well. Ridiculous that 10 years ago we we're paying 20 quid for these games still. Love seeing families there. That's what these games are all about. Unfortunately the cheap prices will also attract scrotes of the highest order with very little interest in the actual football. Our last Euro campaign was blighted by charvers all pissed up and mouthy at the games. One of the reasons why I go in the Platinum club for these games.
  3. More likely we are looking at someone for Jan rather than this week.
  4. He got his hands to it, he'll be disappointed he didn't save it as I said. He sets very high standards, it would have been a world class save had he pulled it off.
  5. Would save their second 9 times out of 10, he'll be very disappointed with that.
  6. Harper is finally full fit and has been told to start acting like a professional footballer. He's our no 2 and has been told to behave like one. That is amazingly harsh considering he has done that job brilliantly for a decade or more. He deserves more credit imo. Last year he wasn't really interested and pretty much refused to travel away, this has now been sorted.

  8. Ah, such a glorious memory that day. Objectively one of my top ten lifetime moments. Does that make my life sad? It was a glorious day, pleased to say I was there.

I heard that on the radio on my way home.
  10. And atm it looks like we got stung paying that amount! Not really, he clearly has quality. If he stays fit I am sure he will prove the outlay(wages, signing on fee etc) was worth it.

Not really, they were kids, players of that age often don't make it, regardless of hype. This lad cost over £5million and was expected to be in and around the first team. Worse buy than Luque.
  12. Didn't we play with some strange 3 at the back formation for large parts of that Wigan game?

Ahead of Ben Arfa? Don't be stupid.
  14. Watched else could he have done ? came out to narrow the angle, cut off the near post and tried to block as much as possible so it wasn't slipped under him. good ball caught out an inexperienced defender (like to think tav will learn quicker in future as it wasn't the first time he was caught out with that ball) and was well finished. Already mentioned it earlier tonight but as soon as he left his line, the finish becomes easier and even after making that decision, his technique was horrid. It's almost as if his body won't allow him to do what he wants any more as it's some of the absolute basics. Given the phase of play and where the ball came from (not far from the centre circle) he (correctly)wasn't stood on his line, if he had stayed where he was he would have been in no mans land and the lad would have had an even easier chance.
  15. Anybody know about this new book? 16. Having seen it again, if he had stayed on his line it would have gone in, excellent finish.
  17. Can't remember Krul getting a massive slagging off when Gerrard scored for Liverpool last year when he charged at him and he slotted it in, when in that case due to the angle he actually should have stayed on his line.
  18. He had to come out, that is what 'keepers do, come out and close the angle down. It was a very good finish. If he stays on his line the guy takes a touch and then can score anywhere in the goal, he was unlucky as it was a superb finish.

Corfu to Athens is only an 8 hour drive and a ferry crossing.
