  1. I'm not so sure I'll last 90 minutes... Considering I played in net for an hour this evening and had cramp towards the end!

    Oba Injury Update

Hope so but we were told he'd only miss 2 games to start with. He's missed 4 so far. This Dr Ulrike Muschaweck is good but it really depends on Martins. IIRC Stevie Carr and Shearer both had the same operation by her in the same week a few years ago, Shearer was back in 2 weeks but Carr took a good 6 weeks.

Me and you can switch about as well if you fancy. I don't mind playing anywhere to be honest, it's just a f***ing kickabout at the end of the day. Nice one, I fancy a stint in net as well which I've already mentioned to NSG rest. No, I play in net in 6 and 7 a side. Nowt to do with having a rest!

I have no intention of staying at right back for the full 90 btw.
  7. Basically no goal hanging in a position that is miles offside.

I'm going to score at least one 30 yard screamer.
  11. Footballer Shola Ameobi thought messy mansion was result of burglary The furious Newcastle star, 27, called cops detailing the items stolen, including his cheque book. Then the truth hit home to the dopey striker, 27 – his £500,000 pad had not been ransacked, he had just left it incredibly messy. One police source said in disbelief yesterday: “We were told thieves had taken a number of things, the most important one being the chequebook. “Given what soccer stars earn, that was obviously a matter of great concern. Then we got a call back saying nothing was missing after all. “Perhaps he had had a party and the place just looked as if it had been burgled.” Cops were about to visit him about the “break-in” in Newcastle’s Jesmond district when shame-faced Shola owned up to his howler. A police spokesman confirmed: “We received a report of a theft from a house in Jesmond but it appears to have been a genuine misunderstanding. Guess it proves it’s not just his struggling team that’s a real shambles at home… http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-united/2009/01/06/footballer-shola-ameobi-thought-messy-mansion-was-result-of-burglary-115875-21018813/ mackems.gif

  13. Hugely impressive at training today, far better than our existing by all accounts. Wants £70k pw but apparently being offered £30k + bonuses for staying fit. mackems.gif
