  6. Then join the massive queue to pick up the ticket unless you have a season ticket.
  7. Bailed till March. Joey Barton bailed until March By Giles Mole http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS&grid=&xml=/sport/2008/01/16/ufnbarton116.xml Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton has appeared in court over allegations of assault and affray. Barton was arrested in the early hours of Dec 27, after a Boxing Day evening out with friends and family. The 25-year-old has not issued a plea to charges of affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Barton's brother, Andrew Barton, 19, from Widnes, has also been charged with actual bodily harm after he, Barton and Nadine Wilson, 27, from Huyton, were arrested after visiting a McDonald's restaurant in Liverpool City Centre. A charge of affray against Andrew Barton has been dropped after the three appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court. All three have been bailed and will reappear before magistrates in Liverpool on March 12.
  8. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...icle687907.ece SAM ALLARDYCE is fuming with his one-time pal Harry Redknapp. Big Sam does not believe Redknapp was straight with him in the weeks leading up to his sacking by Newcastle. Allardyce phoned Redknapp last month after hearing he had been offered his job. The Portsmouth boss denied it — but Big Sam has now been told that Redknapp was first sounded out THREE MONTHS ago. Redknapp said no to Toon on Saturday — three days after Sam was axed. But a pal of Allardyce told SunSport: “Sam is not happy with Harry. In fact, he’s absolutely furious. “If Harry had admitted it was true, Sam would not have blamed him. But he does not think Harry was open with him. “The next time they meet will be lively. Sam will certainly have a few things to say to Harry.”
  9. No chance that would ever happen again, Keegan or no Keegan.

    Owen

He has a home up here and one down there. Understandable that he would go there if they were given the day off after playing in Manchester.
  11. Correct, he still is Welsh. Where did you meet him? In the pub before the game against Wigan, had a good chat with him.
  12. Was Welsh. Still is Welsh, met the bloke on Boxing Day.
  13. Told by a mate who works in the Chronicle office that after Oliver spoke to Redknapp on the phone he was so exited he spent the next few hours talking in a cockney accent in the office pretending to be Redknapp. What a fruitcake.
  14. What do you not trust Alan Oliver's views, ha ha. I've always thought Martin Jol got things right (e.g. Duff to Newcastle, Carrick to Man U before they were in the papers) Only he didn't get anything right, other people did and he claimed the info to be his own. Plagiarism tbh.
  15. Well he shouldn't! It won't 'be a good signing either way' if the new manager doesn't want him and as Dave has said I hope Mort is not signing players unless told to do so by the new manager.
  16. Yes but they have an appointed Director of Football, we don't.
  17. The only reason we would be going along with this is if the new man had already agreed to a deal and said he wants Diarra. Either that or Mort and Ashley have gone mad.
  18. I know this is from The Sun but..... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... NEWCASTLE last night agreed a £5.5million deal for Lassana Diarra — just hours after sacking Sam Allardyce. Now Toon chairman Chris Mort hopes to persuade the French international to sign a four-year contract worth £35,000-a-week. Midfielder Diarra, 22, is still not sure whether to move to St James’ Park and wants to see if Tottenham will match the offer. But Arsenal will not lower their price for a player who cost them £2.5m from Chelsea last August. Diarra wants to leave the Gunners as he has started just four league games this season. He was left out of Arsenal’s Carling Cup semi-final squad last night while negotiations continued and would be eligible for Toon’s FA Cup replay against Stoke next Wednesday hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  19. Yes. SSN said earlier that they 'understand' the manager we are after is British and that we will go through the 'proper channels'. Proper channel being BBC One? UKTV Food +1.
