One of the more entertaining things tonight was the blue baloons tbh. No, that just wound me up too - the stewards and ball boys just standing watching them, whilst Oen (or Milner) has to sprint half the bloody pitch to pick them up. The stewards, ball boys, the lot of them are so pathetic you have to laugh at them. It was Owen btw, the ref told their 'keeper to go about 10 times but he was too thick to understand.

  4. 1878 said previously that it was some sort of tribute to Fitz Hall's clothing line. Apparently that's a myth. So says Google anyway. A grand gesture - What is the secret of the 'A-team' celebration By TIM NICHOLS - Daily Mail 'A' is for Arsenal, Agbonlahor, Abramovich ... and a strange celebration that is sweeping across football. Today Sportsmail can reveal the secret behind the mystery 'A' gesture that has had us all guessing. And here's the good bit: with Joey Barton in jail and football's name being dragged through the mud again, these Barclays Premier League players are actually promoting a good cause. The A-Star scheme to be launched this summer is aimed at encouraging young people to be inspired by role models who do not 'glamourise crime, guns or drugs'. A dedicated website estimates that up to 60,000 young people are stabbed in the UK each year and this project — motto 'if you dream it, you can achieve it' — is aimed at opening pathways into employment through sport by offering young people the chance to showcase their talents. Co-founder Fitz Hall, the Wigan defender said: 'This is a great chance for professional footballers to truly give something back.' England's Andrew Johnson, Micah Richards and Emile Heskey are among those involved. The project statement says they are 'committed to working with young people and making a difference'. For more information on the A-Star project go to: astar-global.com/A-star_About_us_page.htm http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=505563&in_page_id=1779&ico=Homepage&icl=TabModule&icc=picbox&ct=5

Taraabt will look a lot better when he realises it's a team game and he is allowed to pass to his team mates. It's his inability to play to a team ethic which has seen Jamie O'Hara go ahead of him in the pecking order. I wouldn't be surprised if Taraabt starts being regarded as a loose cannon and is shipped out sooner rather than later. Spurs did have an agreement with Corinthians last year to sign Lulinha as a 16 year old for £7.8m. He flew over for a medical etc but by the time he had arrived Corinthians had increased the fee to £18.5m. Levy had a heart attack said no and Lulinha flew back to Brazil. Can't have been much of an agreement!

If anything the CA of the players in the Newcastle squad are too high. I set them.

    The Mole?

Geremi - stripped of the captaincy early and not even on the bench today.
  10. We are the worst team in the league in terms of crossing and corners... http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/1707/cornersandcrossingha4.jpg

    If not Sam, who then?

No. Why not? A man with a point to prove A man with premiership experience A man who took a team from mid table shite to top 6 A man who is looking for a new challenge A man who will enjoy being able to sign his own players and build his own side. I think he'd be a great appointment.
  12. You wouldn't, the American Ref' wouldn't let you. I doubt I'd be able to land a single punch before being knocked out tbh. >
  13. game for game we are 4 points down on last season
  14. Any idea how much? Can't say exactly off the top of my head without asking my old mans mate who asked the club about getting this for his bairn, was around about £300 or so but I think this included corp hospitality for the parents.
  15. Allardyce has said Owen is unlikely to be fit until New Year.
  16. I blame them for turning it into a money making exercise at the expense of the team. Needs to be scrapped.
  17. This is because the ball boys are too young and have to pay to be a ball boy, or rather their rich parents do. The sooner we scrap this exercise the better and get some kids in from some of the local clubs who actually understand the game of football the better. Having ball boys that can read the game and know when to be slow and when to be quick could give us a very slight advantage.

    Other games today

Good win for Everton but AZ are having a poor season compared to the last few, in the bottom half of the Eredivisie.
  19. I thought it went on sale the tomorrow. It does.
