A chance to be the heroes of English football by denying Liverpool the title. To be honest if not us then I'd prefer Liverpool over the likes of Man City, Man U, Chelsea etc. Their fans are already unbearable. Last thing we need is for them to have a reason to be that way.

Any other year they'd be cut adrift. Depends how the other teams at the bottom do. If they pick up form and Sunderland continue to bottle it against their rivals then it could be interesting.

Yeah I was just about to add that. Would like to see Delofeu get starts he's a massive talent and actually looks far more up to speed (albeit in short bursts) than say Lamela. Liv have another rough diamond up their sleeve in this Jordan Ibe...Heard a lot of good reports. Lukaku for me is the big question mark. Everton drew their first 3 games and looked kinda toothless without him. I think he wants to leave Chelsea as he and Mourinho fell out but can't see Everton being able to afford him, nor Chelsea letting him go cheaply.

If Everton don't get 4th it will be interesting to see what their next move is. They are still poor (financially) I think and with the likes of Lukaku, Delofeu and Barry going back to their respective clubs they're seemingly back to square one.

Might be a different story with their being Champions League qualification for the winners next year. Suddenly there is a money incentive for the EL clubs.

I think there's a lot of reasons that 11/12 felt better. The unbeaten start is one factor. Pardew was still an unknown quantity who hadn't really had a bad run yet. Ashley looked like he was finally learning from his mistakes. The end of the season was incredible. This season we know Pardew has his limitations. Ashley is a huge wanker and Kinnear is still floating about somewhere. Most of us don't believe Ashley wants to buy any players ever again. That's probably why it doesn't feel as good.

The conflict of emotions between winning the league and Pardew being the one to win it would be an amazing sight .

He's a sexy beast. If he started scoring goals more regularly .

Our away form has been superb this season. 5 wins in 9 games. Such a contrast to last season. That bit of pace and power makes so much difference.

We used to be class with the orange kit in the 5th place season too.
