Muppets, each and every one of them. Those that are so blinkered to not see whats happening to this once proud club cannot honestly say they have the best interests of the club at heart. To allow this to go the way it has and blame anyone other than Ashley and Co is laughable. Come on HTT, come to the darkside mate

To try and compare this to any other "Normal" job is laughable Hindu. Keegans had a hell of a lot of us, he got no stick when he left the first time, and by n large hes had no the second time. Ignore the past glories think about what hes done for us this time round, which is very little bar f*** off during the middle of the season when nothing could have been done, even if he was being undermined (I think hed agreed to the system) he should have done us fans a favour and stayed til January. Im lost as to how this would have been doing us a favour? are you saying he should have left during the last transfer window of the season? How would that have helped, by leaving this early in hes allowing us to at least have a chance of salvaging this club. If all this s*** had kicked off in January then in February we'd be at the point we are in now but with only 2 months of the season left. Comical

Because I am a part of it I will refrain from posting what I would have liked to post in reply to that little gem however I will say that these "guys" as you put it were here before you and will be here long after the likes of yourself has given up on the football club. These are the same "guys" who fought for fans rights when seats were being taken away, the same "guys" who were being intimidated by a football club who employed bully tactics against them. To put any blame on any fan for the current state of this club is at best poorly thought out but more likely moronic.

To be fair, i'm not an accountant I am a senior manager in a business 100 times the size of Sports Direct though so if someone makes a claim on this forum regarding the viability of the club as a business and i disagree, i'm not going to stay quiet on the matter. Aye theres a McDonalds on every corner these days

Demonstrate probably the wrong word i agree But maybe if people who didnt want him and the rest of the management structure out, did something to communicate their positive thoughts to the club, it might make Ashley think twice. If he doesnt know, he is just going to assume that 100% of the support is against him. I was just sitting before listening to West 'am stick their third past us, reading in the papers about how the owners are flying round the world drinking and laughing and I thought "yeah this new structure is working a treat I like it"

Agreed, and apologies if its come across that way. I am confused however by the major difference in views between here and most other sites. Theres nothing to say which is the right or best view but it is a little confusing to see so many people on one board pouring scorn on something that only has the best interests of the club at heart while it doesnt seem to be happening elsewhere? This quite from yourself Dave is exactly why people should sign up themselves and not look for the seperate boards to be represented. And SSR I take your point but if thats the case then you'd wait forever for everyone to be aware and Im not sure how else you would have promoted the meeting?

Sounds ominous. How? can you even attempt to make something out of that sentence? Its a simple true fact and you can guarantee that if I'd posted the opposite you would have jumped on it way harder than that. How can you say that because a poster from here went then that means this place itselfshould be represented? If thats the case then N-O is represented on the board because Im there and Im a member here but Im fairly sure people here wouldnt be happy if I was saying I represented the views of N-O! What Im saying is, no forum should be representing their members at these things, I do not go to it representing TT, I go as me. Biffa does not go and say this is the views of nufc.com he does as I did and says "we've had a thousand emails and the majority seem to be saying this....". I would expect any member of TT to decide and join up for themselves. Its like saying "I want the government to listen to me but its ok because Joe at Number 63 voted so he can represent the street". Im also disappointed that no matter how many times its said, you cant see the simple fact. These are not the people that will ultimately run this, we are a group of people who out of the 250 or so that took the time to go to the meeting are now taking responsibility for getting it up and running. Once we have the members signed up then the actual committee will be elected properly, by those members. Im not sure what more I can say other than if you have any views on the running of NUFC and you want to have a chance of making a difference then you need to sign up. Join up and then when you're asked the questions such as "Are you happy with Mike Ashley", "Do you think we should boycott?" etc etc you can give your vote. If you dont sign up and the votes dont go the way you want then you have no right to moan about it. I have to say though, I do find it quite a sorry state of affairs that those who couldnt be arsed to go to the Tueday meeting then moan about how those that did are doing things. One of the members works in Birmingham during the week, he drove up here on Thursday afternoon went to the meeting and drove back again afterwards. All at his expense and all because he wants to try and give people some chance of a say. To then have others pour scorn on that is disappointing to say the least. As I keep trying to point out, if you dont want to join thats fine, I have no problems with anyone who doesnt want to support it but I do have a problem with those people then making negative comment on those that give up their time, money and private lives to try and do something. To make out that its been rushed out for some peoples ego's is extremely disappointing to say the least.

emmmm dont take this the wrong way, but why should there be? Im not on there because someone said "we need a representative from toontastic" Im there because I went to the meeting and put my name forward saying I was willing to give my time up, something a couple of other websites/ fanzines did but (as far as Im aware) nobody from the admin or mod side of here went to represent the place (if they did then my apologies but I didnt see you). At the same time there was no mandate to say they had to, it was purely down to choice, I went because it was something I felt strongly about personally and at the same time felt that the board should have some form of representation there to give its support to the thing and to report it back for those who were physically unable to get there. I know that Tom_Nufc from here went and I believe Binnsy indicated he was also going but that doesnt (in my opinion) form a right to have representation automatically given. In fact to be honest once this is up and running no fanzine, website or forum will be able to say they represent their members views because they shouldnt need to and cant do. I can quite easily turn round as I did on Thursday and say that as far as I can see the opinion of toontastic is x, y or z however Im more that happy to also point out that its a false view of the overall fanbase. If we put an identical poll on here, TT, skunkers, ToonUltras and F365 I can guarantee you that we will get different answers from each, thats down to a couple of factors, mainly though it is that different board attract different types of people. We all know and joke about the differences between here and TT but its true and both this thread and the one announcing the meeting show this perfectly. On TT both have been accepted with a general air of it being a good thing, here appears to have more of an element that actually dont want to see this happening. That is fair enough, its personal choice whether to be a member of things like this and Im never going to tell me people they have to join and theyre "scabs" if they dont. I've thought long and hard about a post to put on here as I dont want it to be seen as me saying "bloody N-O not agreeing" or as if Im saying that N-O should not have a voice because Im involved. The day Keegan left I wrote to as many websites, fanzines and forums as I could think of to try and get a collective view on what protest action (if any) we should be taking. The first place I looked for a contact was this place. At the end of the day we all are Newcastle fans, we all have one simple common aim, to see the team succeed but I and a lot of others do believe that at this moment its way more than that, we are now desperate to ensure it survives before we can even imagine success on the pitch. The simple view is, if you want a voice for the people of N-O then sign up and make your voice heard. The committee thats in place now is a temporary one, we are simply there to get this up and running. Once we have a real backing from the fans then there will be a proper structure in place and elections held to put in who people think will actually run this properly. You can only have say in those things if you sign up and you can only attempt to make a difference if you make your voice heard with others.
-
Why are the committee members nameless? Because nobody has had the time to pull a list together and promote it on a website. When I do get a spare 30 seconds though I'll be sure to make it my top priority. But in the spirit of things I can name a few people on there, myself (Peter Whitfield), Mark Jensen (from the Mag), Michael Martin (True Faith), Biffa (nufc.com), Malcolm Dix (ex Magpie group) and Michael Ord (he of the Radio interview), Colin Whittle (Save our Seats) and more.

I think everyone should at least sign up and show their support at this early stage. It doesn't stand for anything yet and you can only make what you want of it by getting involved. There's no cost to put your name down on the list, so you've got bugger all to lose. I'm not involved behind the scenes, I just think it's the best chance the sensible supporters have had in a long time to finally get their voice heard. Thank you. As for boycotting the Spurs game, the view of the NUSC is that we should wherever possible support the team therefore we go to the game but boycott every other form of money to the club. This however may change in coming weeks if those that have signed up make it clear thats not what they want. Nothing is set in stone, all we have at the moment is the views of random people on websites and emails to nufc.com, themag and true faith. We have tried to collate these into some form of concensus of opinion but its not that easy at times.

which country? let me know and I'll add it, if you send me your email address I'll then amend the records to show you under the right one.

Theres an interview with the spokesman at 4.10pm Radio Newcastle this afternoon, give him a listen and see if he talks more sense than we're used to from interviews. maybe that will change some peoples perceptions.
-
Guaranteed to with an attitude like that. You dont agree with protest thats fine but this is a supporters club for all supporters to give their views. Sign up and in any polls, questions etc let them know your views.
-
Press Statement released today in the Chronicle and across websites. http://www.newcastle-united-supporters-club.co.uk Sign up to register your support, this is not a protest group, although we have formed during difficult times and we will be protesting, this is a permanent group who hopefully (with your help) will go on to give the fans an official voice.

Surely thats reason enough for you to get the paypal link set up sooner rather than later though? Technically you dont even need a button to be displayed just pop the link in this thread and you're motoring...donatetastic tbh Why not combine the two ways of raising money? one have advertising within the forum, be they google ads or something else at the same time offer a membership which gives those that pay the forum without the adverts. That way those that are contributing are getting a better service for their money ie advert free forum and those that dont pay are still contributing by clicking on ads.

Nah its not dedicated but they are a good company..... have 230Gb free and bandwidth is crazy (1 Terrabyte I think) http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html Have Crazy Domain Insane.... am using around 5Gig at the moment for my own website and still have 230gig siting doing nothing Review of Dreamhost: Dreamhost may look tempting, but their whole business model is a lie. In reality, you do not receive anything near the number of bandwidth or storage space they offer because they will start limiting you either 1) directly(by email and then placing a cap on you) or 2) indirectly(by moving you to another server where it's incredibly slow, it took upwards of 17 seconds for anything to appear. And then another 10 seconds just for you to finish downloading the page). I have used the $9.95, $39.95, and $79.95 plan that dreamhost offered. If you try to contact support, they will just tell "everything's fine" as your site slowlyyyyyy loads up. If you have a small website: There are cheaper alternatives than dreamhost. If you have a medium sized website: You can use dreamhost, but expect very slow pageloads because dreamhost crams well over a thousand virtual servers on one machine. If you have a large sized website: Forget it, go elsewhere. Dreamhost is nothing but a dream, and at best a nightmare at that.

A dedicated server of any note will easily be over a ton........... per month.

You are not wrong there my friend. Oh and insanojackson? I know why you were in the Baltic apartments
-
I can confirm that Martins, Sib, Emre and Dwight friggin Yorke all live in the Baltic. Martins and Emre are next door neighbours (in the penthouses nearest the Sage), not sure which flat Yorke has however he does drive a white Lambo Gallardo convertible which virtually shakes the buildings when he starts it up. http://www.peasepud.com/temp/lambo.jpg Emre has two motors both of which have almost identical plates (E3 and E5MRE) the E3 being on a silver Jag XKR and the E5 on a Range Rover Sport. Martins does have the Cayenne and a new black Ferrari and the reason its often seen on the Coast Road is that his lass lives in Cochrane Park. Sib drives a silver Range Rover.

Whats that got to do with anything? its quite sad that an article leads you type such a pointless rant about spurs. Sad beyond belief. Jeeesuz H Christ lad, do you want to go back over some of your previous posts and rethink that one?
