Agree that this is pie in the sky, however if Keegan is speaking about breaking a world record there are only a few players that fall in to that bracket - Ronaldinhio being one of them!

Not NUFC related - I bought a Real Madrid shirt with 'Zidane 21' on the back the day he signed for Real Madrid. I'm well and truley over us missing out on Woody now - thing that hurt in the first place was Spurs appearing to have more pulling power than us. Taking a step back though, Spurs seem to be operating in a similar way to how we did under SBR. They are apparently close to getting Hutton today, with him and Woodgate costing them 16 million +. Add this to the money they have spent over the last couple of years and they have spent a packet. We did the same with sir bobby but had two or three years realising our potential in Champions League etc. The way the Premiership is today I can't see them getting close to emulating this by signing these sort of players for this kind of money!

Think this is a knee-jerk reaction. As much as it pains me to say, Spurs have a stronger team/squad than last year and I would be surprised if they were not pushing for 4th/5th come next May.

Glad that Allardyce has denied this because if you look at comments from people who have seen this guy play, the general consensus seems to be that he's not good enough. Seems to me that a lot of people are happy with just anyone at the moment. No need to panic buy, yet!

If it had been a mid-table team that were in this situation then there is no doubt that they would have been docked points. Just because points win prizes at the moment for West Ham, they have got off with it! If Chelsea or Man Utd had been in the same position then I reckon the same would have applied!
