Be just our luck to be within a month of being genuinely taken over, only for the fat mess to ruin it by spouting his gob off
-
If the alternative is to continue playing Ayoze Perez, I think it's a gamble worth taking
-
Shelvey isn't a number 10, as much as I don't like Perez he's the best of the bad suite of options. Seeing as a cardboard cut-out of Ayoze Perez would be twice as effective as the real thing, I think Shelvey might be worth a go.

I could see Warnock stumping up for him to play on the opposite wing to his brother.
-
Even if we see written confirmation of the sale and the new owners promising transfer funds at their first press conference as Newcastle owners, I still won't believe it. It'll probably take a few years at least
-
When a manager is able to buy his top targets then 70% seems reasonable. If any manager is able to achieve 50% when shopping in the gutter i'd say he's smashing it.
-
Neymar could learn a thing or two about riding tackles from Hatem - the number of players he takes out of contention by staying on his feet is crazy.
-
He also fell over like a little girl more than any other player. In fact he is now this season's leading Premier League faller overer
-
Funnily enough he's gone a bit quiet
-
It's hell on the forearm though........i'm told

Why would he tell the players and Rafa that he's not selling the club this season and make out that's a positive?! They all want rid of the fat cancer as much as we do.
-
Aye they always run riot against us and turn into beasts. They're both utter wank an all I wish we had more utter wank players.
-
Man who has absolutely no interest in taking the club forward demands that the next owner meets his criteria for wanting to take the club forward. Seems legit.

Everything wrong with us boils down to the fact that we don't score enough goals, and that's purely down to the fact that we will not invest in the right quality in what is arguably the most important area of the pitch. Our defence and keeper are fine - we don't concede a lot of goals and even against the big teams we're able to keep the scores against us low - that's down to Rafa's input and organisation. An OK striker costs £20m plus these days, reasonable wingers the same and a good #10 will probably set you back £30m unless you get lucky, like Leicester did with Mahrez (i know he's not strictly a #10 though). We were a Championship team last season and we're weaker this time around. There's only so much a manager can do, even one as good as Rafa. Our squad is probably £100m short of the quality it needs to compete at this level. People criticising Rafa's tactics and team selections need to have a bit of a word with themselves because what you are essentially saying is "Rafa should've played this sub-standard player instead of that sub-standard player." & "Rafa should've deployed these tactics with our sub-standard players instead of the tactics he did employ". The fact remains that whoever he selects to start and whichever tactics he employs, he is doing so with sub-standard players so it makes no fucking difference. If it makes you feel better playing PL fantasy football in your heads with our dogshit squad then fill your boots but you're wasting brain cells.

Complete lack of confidence is why

I don't know anything about Kenyon but I would assume he's too credible and decent to be bribed into being another Ashley patsy like Wise and Keys?
-
A buyer wanting fans to put their own money in to buy the club. That will work well. I got the impression that it was a fans initiative rather than a buyer asking for fans to do it.
-
There's just been something on Radio X news about Newcastle United fans being asked to put in £1000 each to help prospective buyers make Ashley an offer he can't refuse. Anyone know anything about that? First i've heard about it.

"Keith, they're protesting every week, disrupting my social media channels and yours, chanting about me at every game, holding up anti-me banners and they've even created a website directing traffic away from Sports Direct. They've got MPs on-side and the media are starting to turn against me. What the fuck shall we do?!" "Send em a pen and a badge Mike, everyone loves a nice pen. That'll do it!"
-
I asked this question two years ago and the majority (including yourself) said they'd rather Ashley stayed as long as Rafa did. God knows how they thought the last two years would go, other than exactly how they have. Everyone loves a 'told you so'. I can't remember that TBH, but I guess it's because I thought since he had employed Rafa he'd give him a small amount of the money he needed to do the job. And obviously excited by our new world class manager. Sorry, you were right. I don't think it's much of a badge of honour to say I was right about Mike Ashley in 2016. Just found it utterly bewildering that some people seemed to think Benitez would prompt Mike Ashley to have a personality change and start being anything other than a complete arsehole. I had a bit of faith because it was widely reported that during contract negotiations Rafa had insisted on certain stipulations being included. I guess we wrongly assumed that meant total control of incomings, outgoings and a specified budget.

Same shit, different day. It's getting very boring now.

Perez is utterly useless. He just does absolutely nothing.

God i love that argument ... " He's not gonna stop me pouring money into his fat pockets so i can watch utter garbage at a dying club " Those fuckers should take a bow for the most moronic justification of sticking around when the very thing we need is that they leave like the rest of us . No-one is going to listen to a keyboard warrier who doesn't go to games telling them to stop going. Supporting is about thick and thin and we have had a lot worse owners than this and a lot worse times than this. This does not condone the way he runs the club by the way. I disagree completely with that part of your statement. Supporting is about part ownership of an institution that you live and breathe. If you had a landlord fucking you over every week would you sit by and take it, saying 'i've had worse'. Would you fuck, you'd do something about it or move. Blindly sitting there saying 'we've had worse' while the owner shafts you sideways year after year is pathetic. This is your club and you should want the best for it, not just be prepared to sit by and watch it run into the ground because 'supporting is about thick and thin'. Don't worry about it pal, while you're sitting there pouring money into Ashley's pockets, we'll do something about it for you. OK? I'm not criticising anyone who goes to the games but the argument you've posted is infuriating. It sounds like you've got fucking Stockholm Syndrome. We've had worse owners - not in my lifetime we haven't It's been worse - not in my lifetime it hasn't
