  1. What concerns? That we're not as good as Chelsea on their own patch? We created a decent amount of chances and didn't give them too many clear cut ones either. On a different day, we could easily have come away with something. What more did you expect? I can think of 2 chances we created and neither was what you'd call clear-cut. For a team that finished 5th last season that's not good enough. Chelsea have a better team than us, no doubt, but we still have enough in our armoury to cause them a few problems. Sadly we choose to reduce the potency of our own attack but playing a formation that is completely wrong. To give them a fight. We created chances, that's a hell of a lot more than better Newcastle teams than this have done on that ground.
  2. Frustrating as fuck watching this! What the fuck has happened to Cisse? Why the fuck do we even entertain the idea of playing 4-4-2? And why the fuck haven't we signed a new right back yet?
  3. Jesus, West Ham are crap! Allardyce even seems to have made Carlton Cole into an even shitter clumsy cunt than he was before. Excellent!
  4. Another winger? Wenger's a fucking idiot!
  5. Looks like Spuds are going to have a busy couple of weeks in the transfer market - only one striker, Ledley King retired, Dawson not wanted, Modric off.
  6. It qualifies as unfair stick when it happens 3-4 times and people get on his back. It happened almost every game last season and it's already happened at least 3-4 times this season already. Consequently it qualifies as fair stick.
  7. Put him on the bench cos of Pardew. I took all the Toon players except Colo out of my team because they were all doubtful. The only one that didn't play was fucking Colo
  8. 34 points with Jelavic, Baines and De Gea still to play. Not the best start but could be worse
  9. And you had the f***ing gall to pull me up on putting Adam Campbell 5th choice striker? Gutierrez is about as much a fullback as he is a striker. Might as well put him in that list as well. When old Diego's put enough coke up his nose to rival Tony Montana before selecting his teams you can't then use that to back up your arguments that we've got enough fullbacks. If Jonas is playing there, we're screwed. Steven Taylor will be playing DC, so he can't play DR. He's our second best centre back. Likewise, Anita will be in midfield. Last time I checked it's against the rules to clone footballers, so they'll just have to play one position each. Raylor has no pace, and both he and Perch played above themselves last season and can't be relied upon to do the same again this campaign. Maybe they will, but 6 months of good form in otherwise utterly mediocre careers suggests that they just hit a purple patch, not that they suddenly became tremendous assets to the club. Fullback before striker. Though like I say, we do need both. This
  10. Not that mental like, he could play a part in Europe. It does cry out desperation however. Not quite as desperate as Simpson . . . . I know we've got R Taylor and Perch but neither are specialist fullbacks. We have 3 recognised strikers (of which 2 are excellent) but only 1 recognised right back who happens to be shit
  11. Ashley has instilled the mentality into us that resale value is the only thing that matters. FFS, you're all a bit serious today. Evidently the didn't make it clear enough that I was joking. Cracking signing tbh - I really hope he doesn't break his leg in their first game
  12. Yeah, but £24m for a 29 year old?! s*** deal tbf Not if he gets 25-30 for the next 3 or 4 seasons it isnt. Maybe, but where's the resale value?
  13. Yeah, but £24m for a 29 year old?! Shit deal tbf
  14. I completely forgot about that dickhead. This has the potential to be the greatest upgrade in the history of the game
  15. That could come in handy!
  16. Yeah, i'm not keen on it to be honest
  17. The only matter of any quality in this picture that i can see is the turf and the kit, i was a fan of the gold lettering
  18. Good job we've got Jonas and Marveaux then eh? Ba doesn't want to play left so he'll probably be playing backup to Cisse or alongside him when we're chasing a game
  19. Fergy tends to break his new signings in steadily so i doubt he'll start him - I reckon he'll come on for a cameo though
  20. What? I don't particularly rate him and I don't think we need him. I would hazard a guess and say I've seen more of him than you have? I've never seen the guy play but he has to be better than Dan Gosling?! A Tiote type player is essential to the system and the way we play - what happens when he gets injured, suspended or goes to the ACON?
  21. http://s11.postimage.org/eg5mce34z/team.jpg Gone with this for game week 1 but i'll be chucking Cabaye and Cisse back in once they've been declared fit
  22. That's the best lineup i've seen so far - think i might copy it. Ha ha!
