Jordan Henderson at standby is even more baffling then Downing get called up! Jordan Fucking Henderson!! He's been absolutely terrible this season!
-
I'm sorry but there's no way Redknapps squad would have been too far off Hodgsons. Really? I reckon he'd have picked Lennon, Johnson, Sturridge and probably Richards as well. He'd have been far more likely to pick youngsters than Hodgson, who loves workmanlike teams. Harry likes pace and flair!
-
And that's why the FA should've hired Harry Redknapp
-
Alternative: Hart Richards Terry Cahill Cole Parker Gerrard Lampard A Johnson Oxlaid Chamberlain Sturridge
-
Welbeck Milner Downing Barry I bet the rest of Europe are shitting their pants!

Billy Sharp is no nowhere near good enough for us and the same goes for Yakubu. Times have changes - we are assembling a team of international quality players and up-and-coming stars so I doubt these guys are anywhere near our radar.
-
Let's hope Roy realises what Stuart Pearce didn't - Wellbeck is not good enough for England

I've doubted our ability to challenge for Europe this season but looking at our squad, there's no reason why we can't continue to challenge for Europa League spots. We genuinely have one of the best midfield lineups in the league, our first choice strikers are excellent, Krul is one of the best up-and-coming goalkeepers in Europe and our manager seems to know what he is doing. The key for me is keeping the first team fit because our strength is depth is not good - if Cisse gets injured we have Shola to replace him, if Ben arfa gets injured we have Obertan to replace him, if Colo gets injured.....fuck knows! Next season will be interesting because we'll have a lot more fixtures to contend with so our league form could potentially suffer. If we can add some strength in depth though I think we could still realistically challenge for 5th or 6th

Can't see it myself but fuck it, i'm just happy to be back in Europe. It would be nice to christen the sexy new away shirt with a win, assuming we wear it.

That's the best away kit we've had for a long time.

Pardew on Cheik: “He’s fine, he’s got a big nine-inch gap on his head. And about 14million stitches! “That’s just a scratch to him – he’s fine.” Cheik on Cheik: “I can’t remember any of it, but the most important thing is I feel great. It’s just a cut on the side.” “If you play in midfield your have to let people hurt you and be ready for it. “It’s fine for me though, I will be OK for Sunday.” Nails!

Just seen the goal on Sky - I've genuinely never seen a strike that comes close to that! Never mind Crouch's goal, they might as well throw away that list of contenders for best goal in 20 years of the premier league. His first was a fucking peach as well!

Thank fuck the News of the World is no more - they're an even bigger set of cunts than The Sun

Still not convinced by Wellbeck for ManUre, let alone England. Unfortunately our options are pretty limited up front. I'd be tempted to replace Wellbeck with Sturridge and put Adam Johnson on the right
-
Totally disagree about him being solid defensively. I think he has very few of the attributes required to be a decent premier league full-back. His decision making consists of how far to back off the attacking player before letting him cross the ball into the box. He has been carried all season by our centre backs and more recently by Ben Arfa tracking back (never thought i'd say that). He also hasn't built up an understanding/partnership with any of the players who have played right wing for us this season. Absolutely nothing good about him IMO - get rid! Every time i've seen him play he's been totally shit! Most of the goals we've conceded this season have come from his side of the pitch.
-
Don't give much of a shit to be honest! FWIW I reckon Arry would've been decent for England and we'd have seen some good attacking football, unlike the tedious crap served up by Capello. On the other hand I don't think I could bear the media bukake fest if he actually started doing well as England manager. Woy seems like he knows what he's doing and he's not an utter twat so good luck to him.

This season has been amazing and it keeps getting better. Unfortunately I still can't shake the ingrained pessimism that's been built up over the past 10 years. I keep thinking the good run is going to end and it's all a bit of a fluke but then we go and brush another team aside. My brain can't actually comprehend what's going on.
-
Occasional I can deal with but you wouldn't say he's prone to it. Both of the great solo goals goals he's scored saw him ride tackles rather than go down. You know for a fact a lot of players in the Premier League would have hit the deck
-
Was thinking about Ben Arfa when I watched the Chelsea game the other night. He doesn't seem prone to diving at all, he just rides tackles and that gives him yards on the players he leaves in his wake. None of this 'i was touched so i went down shite' and to be honest he's exactly the type of player i would have expected that from. Messi does the same - he's one of the only players in that shower of play acting bastards that actually attempts to stay on his feet. Very refreshing!

Would love that with gold VM and no black block Remember back when Puma was announced as our new kit maker and there were some great mock-ups done by people on the forum, only for all of us to be thoroughly underwhelmed when the actual kit was released? All I''m saying is brace yourselves for disappointment folks.
