  1. much better. I've still got issues over lack of width in the midfield while CNZ plays at LB while Enrique sits on the bench though.
  2. Adebayor's goal was because Charlie made an error at left back. Not Zog's fault - he's not an LB. And yet we have an LB, Enrique on the bench, while we're crying out for some more width. Milner and the Zog on the wings and Enrique at LB - it's not hard.
  3. Like someone already said though,if the question had been Are you from Tyneside? The yes would be out in a clear lead, although there are more non-locals than I thought.
  4. Yes. Born at the Princess Mary Hopsital in Jesmond, lived in Heaton all my life.
  5. Cheers. As I said, I started out thinking he had to be given time, let the team settle down, gel in. But I'm finding it hard because of his tactics. I'm now thinking that his tactics are at fault. I didn't really get the chance to say so, but you don't need time to play the right tactics and players in the proper positions.
  6. Yeah. The caller before me was going on about Allardyce can't say NUFC is unmanagable when he won't even talk to fans via the BBC. She then asked me if - as an NUFC fan I thought that was a problem. I said that I think it can be for people who don't have Sky because they're not going to hear his views and his comments so much.
  7. They were talking about Allardyce and I was getting annoyed with Chris Waddle and fans of other clubs missing, what is the point for me - Allardyce's tactics, NOT the players. Suddenly I found myself calling in. I'm on at about 2 hrs 25 mins in. (use the 15 min and 1 min skips). I felt it was a bit jumbled (I don't know where 'senseless' came from, I meant either nonsensical or perhaps pointless, but hey, live radio and all that). I keep thinking of other things I had to say, but you have a limited time and I got a couple of my points in. The beginning caught me off guard a little bit as I hadn't thought much about Allardyce not talking to the BBC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/fivelive_aod.shtml?fivelive/morning_tue
  8. I'll be delighted if he suddenly gets it together and our form improves. I didn't want Allardyce at first, but I thought that he had to be given a chance, see what he can do, and I was impressed with what he was saying in the summer. I thought that whilst we weren't playing particularly well, we were getting results and that time was needed for the team to bed in. Gradually I've watched that argument fall to pieces. It's become obvious that its Allardyces tactics that are at fault. I can't see any other excuses. We have decent players, but he's playing them in stupid postions. Play the players in their proper positions with a settled formation and I bet anything that our results would improve. Why do Man U and Arsenal perform so well? Because they have great players playing in their natural positions. OK our players aren't quite on the same level, but they're good players non the less, they just need to play in their natural roles. I don't see how playing players in the wrong positions is going to improve things over time. He could be here in a hundred years (not literally, obviously), but if he continues to play people out of position then it'll still be just as stupid and just as ineffective in 2107 as it is in 2007. The only way things will improve under Allardyce will be if he realises that he was wrong and goes back to playing a settled formation with players in their natural roles, and if he hasn't realised this by now, I'm seriously wondering if he ever will. I think he's one of those like Souness. A stubborn c*nt who refuses to see or admit when he's gone wrong. He has to be right all of the time, he can't back down and admit he was wrong. He can't hold his hands up and say,' Hey I'm sorry, I've got this wrong, but I'm going to try something else'. Admitting he was wrong would be 'weak' you see.

  12. I've been advocating giving him a chance, but my patience is wearing thin. I wonder if he's realised that he can't do here what he did at Bolton, and now he doesn't know what to do. I certainly think that the players don't know whether they're coming or going as the formation seems to change so often, not just game to game, but within games as well. What formation were we supposed to be playing today? I couldn't tell. If he doesn't know what to do about it, then we should be looking elsewhere. I don't think we should sack him without a plan - as has happened here so often before, but if we have someone in mind, and he's out of his depth, get rid.
  13. I laughed. Didn't deserve it, not tonight, not during the campaign as a whole. England got exactly what they deserved.

  16. For me this is the straw that has broken the camel's back. I wash my hands of England. I couldn't care less if England don't qualify. I'm past caring. I don't care about international football even 5% as much as I care about NUFC. The breaks just spoil the season and offer the opportunity for national teams to crock our players. I'm sick of the media hype over England and the 'In-ger-land' fans are a bunch of f*cking knobs.
  17. In a f*cking pointless friendly as well. The game didn't need to be played, but that balding, grinning useless smoggy sh!tehawk went ahead and agreed to it anyway. Every second of every day I end up giving less and less of a sh!t about England.
  18. Owen limping off. Cheers England you useless three lion c*nts
  19. bloody internationals get in the way of the proper stuff

    Players in public

I've seen a few over the years. Gary Brazil used to live next to my Grandma in Seghill (about 1989-ish) Lee Clark at my school fair in about 1991. He signed my NUFC tracksuit. He used to go to the same school and was always popping in. He brought Andy Cole with him one time and the school went beserk. I saw Tim Krul waiting in the arrivals area at Newcastle Airport at about 11pm one night this July. About a week later I saw him walking past Sainsburys on Benton Road. Shearer and Dabizas in Shearer's Jag on Grainger Street (about 2000) Bobby Robson in WH Smith on Northumberland Street (2000) Dyer and Fumaca in Baja (2000) Gary Speed and Nobby Solano a few times in Sainsburys (more, when it used to be Safeways) at High Heaton Diego Gavilan in Spar on Chillingham Road (2000) Rob Lee in Topman (about 1996/97) That's all I can think of

    Paul Barron

The Club was brilliant. They used Chris and Carl from The Club in Catterick. It was good, but not as good as The Club.
  23. It was blatant. I'm glad the FA aren't taking any action over it, but it was a stupid and dangerous thing to do and he should have got a ban.
