  2. Just Tyne & Wear isnt it?
  3. Definately going to get one of these like. I have worked out that Ive spent roughly £75 on Metro fares simply to go to the match this season.
  4. The way i look at it is that what other colour goes best with black and white? The answer is not blue, nor gold, its red!! Therefore i have no problems with red trim, red names and numbers or a red puma on our shirt. Would love them infact.
  5. Red numbers and red puma is win win imo.
  6. Im sorry Blef, but that song is terrible.
  7. Honestly, I fucking hate this thread.
  8. Apparently the quoted 27k attendance at Parkhead tonight is a massive over estimate too.
  9. 27,750 - The attendance at Celtic tonight.

  12. "1. Every club needs daft lads (and lasses). Every club has them. The daft lads are the people who often sing the loudest and longest, who refresh your fan-base, who offer new routes to revenue, who are more boisterous and bullish than others, but who keep the atmosphere inside the stadia raw and confrontational. Sometimes they take their shoes off and pogo. Sometimes they gravitate towards microphones. Older, wiser supporters may raise their eyebrows. They may even wince. But many, if not most, will recognise that this was them once, too. Fueled by drink and hormones and a sense of invincibility, they came to the match to shout and chant and be surrounded by mates. To boast about their club being better than the rest - which, when you think about it, is sort of what football is all about. So here’s to the daft lads. 2. But why are Newcastle, in particular, defined by their daft lads? How is it acceptable to judge a football club, which has history and nuances like any other, on ten second clips on Sky Sports News or Talk Sport? So if one random bloke says that he wants Kevin Keegan back as manager, it somehow becomes engrained as fact? Listen to those Geordies ... never learn, do they? Piffle, poppycock, b*******." This pretty much sums up our grievances perfectly for me.
  13. They difinately said it mate. Whether they are right or not is another matter entirely.
  14. They Just said on Real Radio that there ARE tickets left for this game. Only singles mind.
  15. Is that even possible? The capacity's only 53k isn't it? I meant how many do you think we could have sold if the capacity was no issue. Capacity is 52,300ish iirc.
  16. So, how many do you think we could have sold for this game? 55k??
  17. Unreasonable expectations, self-pity, anger at the villains who are running the club – that’s widespread among football fans everywhere. The only ones who I don’t understand are the Arsenal fans who criticise Wenger because he hasn’t won a trophy in five years. If I was watching great football in a great stadium with regular appearances in the Champions League, I wouldn’t be complaining. They aren't real fans that criticise Wenger, talk to a proper non arm chair fan and they'll all tell you how much they love Arsene and the work he has done. I adore the man, if we don't win a trophy until he retires i will still love what he has done for the club, at the end of the day there are some clubs that are at risk of going out of business and play shit football. We play amazing football, are financially secure and have qualified for Europe for the last 15 years or something stupid. He's an unquestionable god amongst genuine Arsenal fans. My dad tells me of the boring Arsenal days, i cant remember this but i'm proud of where we are. Agree with you 100% about Wenger, fantastic manager who plays fantastic football. I would happily give him the Newcastle job for life. I reckon its only the twats on phone ins who slag him off and I bet most of them don't go the games As for Liverpool fans, I've generally found the proper scousers up there to be knowledgable, friendly fans who seem to respect Newcastle for their support etc. The City in some ways reminds me of Newcastle to the extent that it seems to have its own unique character and culture, unlike most other places I visit these days. Its all the thousands of glory hunting Liverpool fans from around the country and beyond, most of whom have no connection whatsover with club or city that are the problem. Pretty much sums it up tbh.
  18. The collar makes or breaks any tshirt/jacket/football shirt. Thus far the majority have been shiiiiiite.
  19. That one everyone likes is just yet another boring one. I want something with a bit of design about it. Something fresh and exciting for a change. The one with the crest thing on would do me for sure.
  20. Hey!, you're not so bad after all.
