I've said it for years, when they are winning fans of the so called top clubs are some of the best at lording it over you but when they face even the tiniest bit of adversity they go completely missing, quiet as mice until one of their superstar players rescues them.

MOTD is so shit its unbelievable. They showed Chelsea and Man U winning corners which led to nothing without showing some of our shots on goal ffs. Hell, they even showed one highlight yes ONE highlight of the first half of the Mackem game. They waste so much time waffling on and showing trailers for MOTD2 etc etc. The programme is total shit tbh.

Mentioned this before but why is it that on MOTD, the atmosphere from SJP always sounds like the mic is in a bucket of water? Old Trafford sounded three times as loud in comparison.

Bad form doesn't last this long, he's a striker who has a really specific set of skills even when he's confident and we are not getting the best from those skills. With how we play and the type of wide players we use i don't think he compliments them very well.... with that said i still believe in him and wouldn't sell him or anything but a Gomis type would have gone down a treat right about now honestly. Bad form can easily last this long. I am sure there are other examples that people can come up with. Today was by far not his worst game; thought he was quite lively first half.

Think you have to look at his overall record to assess that question. From what Wikipedia tells me, he's broadly speaking, a 1 in 2 striker (or just under for the pedants) so you have to assume he's on a terrible dip in form. Also, if this is his level he would never have scored all the brilliant goals that he has for us.

He would have either scored or got some assists the way we played first half. Would have made the result for more comfortable than it turned out to be; ridiculous to bench him after ONLY two bad performamces.

This is going to make it all the worse when we lose the derby.

Ben Arfa should have played today and we would have won this convincingly. He would have thrived in that first half and been deadly on the counter in the second; hell even once or twice in the last 5 minutes when he came on he looked more than threatening.

Didnt they have 60 odd percent possession second half?

The thing that annoyed me was how easily Cardiff seemed to just stroll through into our box time and again second half. It led to a few last second Colo cleverness and Williamson Balls in your face moments to save us.
