  1. Exactly, if yesterday can't provoke a reaction with some guilt edged performances over the last 5 games we might as well pack up and go home. Aye, if we fail to get points out of Liverpool and Arsenal at least we can rest easy, safe in the knowledge our scintillating away form will see us through. Well despite being poor our away form is actually still better than 5 other Premier League teams, including Stoke and Norwich (we're joint 12th on away form) Thought we'd lost about 5 off the bounce away from home? 4 defeats since we won at Villa. Ah right. What a big win that may turn out to be. Glad we played Villa when we did tbh.
  2. Were you complaining about it before kick off though? When I saw the lineup I would have preferred Haidara but I certainly wasn't griping about Jonas starting there too much as I could see the merit in it, hes been playing well there for a couple of games prior to this one, it also allowed a more attacking player such as Marveaux to be occupying the space Jonas would usually play and be ineffective in. Complained as soon as seen it. I hate the bloke and hate the fact that Pardew always finds a way to include him. He is the most limited footballer in the team, where Haidara appears capable of passing the ball, defending etc, Jonas gets ball, runs in straight line, falls over / loses ball. Rinse and repeat, he is an awful footballer who has no place at this level anymore That's not true though. He's woefully misused. I will continue to maintain that he has more composure on the ball and is a better defender than Tiote, and should be played in central midfield ahead of Tiote (though Anita should be ahead of both). Agree with this. Never had a problem with Jonas when he's been played CM. Retains possesion quite well. I dont know if its a fitness thing with him, Used to love his marauding runs down the wing (which we still see on rare occassions now) but he just seems so ineffective most of the time out there.

    Alan Pardew

Seriously, how hard is it to get good technical players who love to pass the ball and move to.......errr.........pass the ball and move?
  4. For me it was the same feeling you get when you have been absolutely legless the night before and you wake up and realise that last night you ended up grabbing your mates lasses arse and or tits. You know the feeling right? Utter devastation.
  5. I say no. Debuchy was one of the few players who looked reasonably up for this I thought, tried a good few lung busting runs forward even if they came to nothing.
  6. Exactly, if yesterday can't provoke a reaction with some guilt edged performances over the last 5 games we might as well pack up and go home. I think it will give us a massive kick up the arse this. With full weeks between games now surely we have got to put in some decent performances which will result in at least one win.

    Alan Pardew

I agree, but I can't figure out whether its because hes unwilling to change or just doesn't know how to change, either way its troubling. Bit of both I suspect.

    Alan Pardew

The main gripe I have with Pardew is that I dont think he is learning from any of this, any of his mistakes. I honestly believe that say in 5 years time he will still make the same ridiculous mistakes in all facets of his management of the club.
  9. Reckon if anybody does that this year it will be Stoke, how they have dropped since the new year is ridiculous really. Teams like that usually bully their way to a good result when the going gets tough though. I can't see them going down tbh. It'll either be Stoke or Norwich, both have been dropping down alarmingly for several games already where as we've being picking up enough points to keep us in a similar position in the table. Teams don't usually look safe with 5 games to go and then drop like a stone, in fact no team has ever been relegated after being 13th at this stage in the season. I don't think we'll be relegated FWIW. We have enough quality players to grab at least one win from the games left. Agree. We will win one more game, surely.
  10. Was dreading the post WW3 photos if I am honest! Hopefully none will be as bad as the guy with the paint brush!
  11. Put things into perspective man. Love how you cant even have a bit of a laugh on this forum anymore without people pulling you up on it! Obviously he is way better than Titus, but man was he terrible yesterday.
  12. When our defenders have the ball midway through our half, he should be atleast on the halfway line looking to receive a pass from them not going all the back to take it off their toes. He sits way too deep and the game just passes him by. On the rare occasions he has played higher up in the past he has looked deadly playing in some killer balls which tear the defense apart. It is so frustrating.
  13. Thought we had re-signed Bramble without anyone telling me yesterday. Absolutely woeful. Graham tore him a new arsehole.
  14. Whether people like it or not we have and always will have a higher than average percentage of knackers following us. It's an unfortunate circumstance of living in a poorer than average part of the country in a former industrial conurbation like Tyneside. There are far too many kids and blokes old enough to know better who are nasty, uneducated neanderthals who grew up with no positive male role models and who have nothing better to do with their time than cause trouble. It's a sad fact of working class areas everywhere. Most of these clowns won't even have been at the match. They would have just been hanging around looking for any chance to kick off. The result of the match was just the spark they needed.
  15. Fuckin Mike! If I was him id have run away from this club years ago. Fair play to him like he's a sound lad.
  16. Who the fuck has smoke canisters ready to throw on the off chance of a riot?
  17. Completely ashamed and embarrassed by that. THE worst matchday in the last 13 years at least; way, way worse than Villa. I don't know what caused that performance whether it be complacency, Thursday night or Pardews general shityness but my god was it shameful. I have come close on many occasions but never ever have I been ashamed to be a Newcastle fan but tonight I am.
  18. Come on!!! Sleep done!!! Game on!! Only one thing though, its windy as fuck. I hate the wind. It has the potential to be a leveller.
  19. Me bellies doing back flips right now. I'm in full on Derby mode. Gotta sleep yet no idea how I'm gonna manage that.
  20. Praying that we dont have a huge slice of misfortune go against us in this. It is the only way I can see us losing. Unless someone rises to their bait in the first half and gets stupidly sent off.
  21. The Mackems in my circle of 'aquaintances' have been very sheepish and quiet this week. The polar opposite to how they were before our Villa away victory.
  22. "When I was a little bitty boy, my grand mother bought me a cute little toy............" Come on!!!!!!!! It's nearly here!! Let's absolutely skullfuck these clowns into submission.
  23. Big thumbs up to all the Benfica fans acting with class in here. It was a very enjoyable night, even though we lost.
  24. Just smash these cunts, please, smash them into rubble and dust.
