    Hatem Ben Arfa

I just think that Hughton will fight to keep him and the player will want to stay. That should be enough for Ashley to pay out.

Like I've already said, if we can take any morcel of positivity from this its that I think that this will actually strengthen our chances of buying him permanently not weaken them. Marseille's probably not going to want him back, he doesn't want to be there and I can't see many clubs willing to fork out on a player with a badly broken leg before they see him playing again and that he's fully recovered. Hughtons reaction to the injury after the game shows how much he values Ben Arfa and I think Ben Arfa will be keen to get back and show us properley what he can do.

I feel the same. We were basically forced to eat the biggest shit sandwich we've had to eat since relegation, today. The thought of six plus months without Ben Arfa is a killer.

Not that frequently tbh. Wouldn't make the top ten list of things frequently mentioned on the forum.

I'm getting tired of reading posts like this. Don't be pals with them if you can't take it. Eh? Who said I'm pals with them? They know I'm a big Newcastle fan and they are big Sunderland fans, we exchange comments on what is happening at each others clubs. Nowt to do with being pals. Also, you're 'tired' of reading posts like this? Yeah, cause there's tons of them on this forum like......not.

Dreading work tomorrow; the Mackems are going to have a field day with this like.
  7. Big Sol is quality. Oh how I laughed when people at work (mackems) told me he was finished.

Anyone else made the mistake of going on a city forum to see what they made of this? Oh no.

In a strange way, this might increase our chances of signing him on a permanent basis now that hes out of the spotlight and I cant see many if any clubs wanting to pay big bucks for a player coming back off a broken leg.

This is just as bad as when Owen broke his leg in the World Cup. Fucking devastated.
  13. I wonder what kind of crowds we could have pulled in during the mid 90's if the stadium was big enough?

    Keith Gillespie

Out of this world good on THAT night against Barca "And Gillespie's away down the wing again!!!" :smitten:

  18. They've got metro stations. I don't. Plus, you're not accounting for how lazy I am. Fuck right off!, You could get to Benton or Palmersville station quicker than some people in Whitley could get to Whitley Bay station. Goddamn you are lazy my man. It's like 25 minutes away. I don't remember the last time I walked anywhere 25 minutes away. Although it is shocking, I find it hard not to respect your laziness.

  20. Semtex, you never heard of the Metro like? Too much hassle to get into town from Forest Hall? Thank fuck you don't live in Whitley or South Shields.
  21. Given the circumstances the tickets should have been £15 max; £10 if they wanted to show a gesture of goodwill and garuntee a full house to spur the team on but nah they prefer a half empty stadium to be beamed out on live TV. Nice.
  22. Surprise surprise its £20 a ticket. Seems the club are happy to have a half empty stadium for a big cup tie. What a joke.
  23. What I don't understand is how the club are not doing everything in their power to fill every last seat for every match. Its ludicrous really when you think about it. They make almost zero effort; no offers, no free tickets to kids, nothing. I mean, take the corporates for example, they are always empty and the club must realise this so why do they not come up with an idea to fill them? They say they want to 'maximise all avenues of income' but why are they happy to have sometimes 10k+ empty seats and do nothing about it? It baffles me tbh.
