  1. Steady. What you implying? Anfield ban on its way for you.
  2. "He looked like a rabbit in head lights for most of last season" Good description. We have all probably been out of our depth at some point. Its tough to admit it at the time as well, and tough to ask for advice or assistance as well. Reverting to what you know, your comfort zone as it were: we all do it. I can see the same again...potentially.
  3. I hope you are right obviously. The thing that slightly, well more than slightly, worries me is the lack of clarity or planning that seems evident in our transfer startegy at the moment. I havent seen much of this Gomis lad tbh. Bent more so and Remy to an extent...but they all appear different kind of forwards. With Cisse staying, a big postive imo, then I would have thought we would have known what we want to supplimant him. its no use just randomly picking strikers out of thin air, or based on price ifwe havent a cohesive plan in place to enhance Cisse with the new signing. For instance. I wouldnt be going mental if the manager or powers signed Carlton Cole...now put the gun down and wait a bit! Lets say Pardew simply said.."I know 442. I know how to use a big un and a little un up front. I know I want wingers to supply them. I know my limitations, and so Cole and a small nippy type of strike partner it is. I also am gonna sign a Beagrie type of winger to supply em".. at least theres a plan. Maybe a very simple one!, but a kind of joined up thinking. Instead we get Sissoko being mooted as number 10, Cisse out wide, dear lord Ameobi out wide. Cabaye not deep enough (imo) and Tiote , well him on the pitch is bad enough for me. I can get the Remy idea, if he is happy with movement out wide being expected from him. I just worry we kinda just grab players without a thought of how we can utilise them.
  4. I guess you pays your money and you takes your choice. I can see what Ian and "the positives" are thinking , whilst personally being more in the "pessimists" corner. On paper the squad we have, the talent at our disposal, is more than enough to secure premiership status and survival. A half competent manager should easily be able to get that squad safe and maybe pushing the top half , say 12th and upwards (not anywhere near top 4 obvs)... Given 2/3 or hey lets be totally optimistic 4, signings that we need, in the right postions and the top 7 upwards is a realistic shout (much nearer to top 4 as well imo). The problem lies in not the lack of transfer activity, although that is frustrating enough, but in the lack of clarity and vision in it for me. I have no faith in the ownership of our club. He wants out imo, and is merely treading water. I also am in the camp of he wants to make us, the fans hurt. he wants to pay us back for the insults, the acrimony and the general fact that a lot of us, maybe not the majority, but a sizeable minority want him gone and do not care for him and his cronies one jot. He will do just enough, just enough to try and protect our PL status, whilst clawing his dosh back. TBH thats all by the by. The JK appointment is not just bizarre, its malicious imo: will it impact on the season?? Some say no, not onto the players and the team on the filed. Im not so sure. How many of us are distarcetdby managerial changes and wranglings at work? How many of us take the foot off the pedal when a change is imminent or confusion reigns?? , hands up, I know I do. Will some of our players maybe be affected similarly? A bad start and the morale crashes?? The lack of vision in the transfer in of players in respect of team building is the heart of the on field problems. Our manager is a poor one. I dont think hes capable of change, of learning from mistakes made last season, of the ultra negative approach being changed to a more free flowing and attack minded style. I think hes limited. Couple his limitations with the disoragnised recruitment that appears to be pervaiding the club and its a potential car crash. The cheapest option isn't always the right option.nor is it always the wrong option, imo we should be targetting players to enhance a particular style of play. I know people mock Liverpool and Rodgers with his "project", but that kind of thing, in the long term, and if folllowed up on, is the way to go imo. Having a plan, a long term vision and a particular style of play, getting the right players to fit the right postions, to get the right balance. Seems obvious. The right pegs for the right holes. Whats the point of Bent for insatnce if we dont improve our supply from wide areas? We arent "massivley f***ed". Thats a fair point. But.... I can envisage a scenario wherbys given a poor start , given some rumblings and further "odd" or plain malicious decisions by our owner we could be in for a very tricky season. I wouldnt bet against it.

Whats the bit about having a girlfriend?? Are they banned as well like
  6. Sickening. Jobs for all the boys apparently. We apparently are a free meal for has been and never have beens.
  7. Now that's what you call patience...5 years. Borders on stalking .
  8. He would score goals as no 9 with the right wide players feeding him in all honesty. Cant say im thrilled about the prospect of him, but its looking more likely imo.

He wants out. Simple as . Hes using this all as an excuse to manufacture a move. No player asks for a move now, cos it hits them in the only place any of them care about (regardless of religious and spiritual beliefs)...their pocket. Look at Rooney. wants away, wont ask for transfer cos itll cost him. This c***s the same. f*** him. bye. Total fabricated BS imo, all this nonsense about being offended. Realises our club is a f***ing shambles, wants to negotiate a pay increase (it is being alleged) and is using this as a tactic. A tactic in either a) he gets offered more money (lets see how quickly his objections evaporate if this is the case) or b) hes sold. picks up loyalty bonus for not asking for move, signing on fee from new club and new contract. f***ing mercenary c***s the lot of em.
  10. Agree IMO its Bent and maybe, maybe one other (oddly I see a keeper as the other most likely). They think we are fine for CH now that Colo is staying, They think we are ok for width (Cos Pardpoo thinks Sissoko can play effectively there). Add Bent and they think that's enough up front (Cos Pardpoo thinks Sisokko is an option here too). They think we are ok at FB and CM cover: I don't see us signing any more than 2 ( not incl young teens who are "for the future"). We are led by incompetent fuck wits. Owner, DOF and manager: Next season will be a fucking disaster. Again, imo.

Very informative N-O. Amazing knowledge depth on here...disturbing but amazing
  12. I worry about Elliot. Just not convinced by him at all. Aint a clue about Alnwick? If he's a product of our youth set up: gawd help us.
  13. Glad if he's in to be understudy. I don't have a lot of faith in Elliot personally. he's a no 3 not a no 2 for me.

I think there's a little more to it than that in this case. Yes, it should be arrested on suspicion of being involved in the gang rape of a woman, not yet charged with any offence. fyp Forgive my ignorance on matters of arrest etc. he has been arrested on suspicion of this alleged offence, but not charged? Then how is he going to court? I thought you would need to have a specific charge against you to appear in court?? Genuine question. Sorry if its obvious to some but I don't get it. How can you be on trial for something you haven't even been accused of?? Bit Kafkaesque isn't it. Arrest is a suspicion. A complaint made by anyone about anything is normally enough for the Police to arrest somebody. He may not even go to Court as he is yet to be charged. I think he is on police bail until September. If he is then he will either be rebailed to a later date (unlikely), charged, or no further action will be taken. Arrest is the first stage in bringing a prosecution the police will gather the evidence and send it to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). The CPS will decide whether there is enough evidence for a realistic chance of conviction. However post Saville the CPS handle sexual complaints slightly differently. In short because they want victims to come forward they are now treating whatever a complainant says as given, irrespective of any inconsistencies in their account. Therefore there will always be a realistic prospect of conviction on the alleged victims evidence which means there is now probably a decent chance of charge. That being said the victim in this case has alleged that she was date raped and there may be a number of factors relevant to whether or not Remy is Charged, such as the presence of any date rape drugs in her system, any medical evidence obtained from her vagina incriminating any of the accused etc. It is possible that in the absence of this evidence a decision not to charge may occur. A lot will depend on the specifics of the allegation the complainant has made. If arrest is stage one charge is stage two. It is the formal laying of charges against a person and it is at this point that somebody would be required to attend Court and a trial would take place. Cheers mate. Didn't know that stuff. And hope I never have need of this knowledge personally. Still a bit of a risk for me. like the idea about a loan with a mandatory buyout price if no charges etc...depends on who else is sniffing around I guess.
  15. Beginning to look like there maybe is a sticking point isn't it? 2 days??

I cant see how we would know though? cant see the "Excuse me Mr CPS we are NUFC and we need to plan our strategy for next season, what's the heads up on Loic here then" working. just seems a big gamble. unless we ask him of course. Seems an honest and upright lad..

Not for me. thanks but no thanks. Too many risks involved here for us to get bitten on the arse by. A decent player no doubt, fits and ticks a few boxes for us even though he seems a bit bankrupt in the honesty and integrity stakes. Given his royal fucking over of us in Jan. The small matter of a rape allegation hanging over him seals it for me. Innocent till proven guilty I know but....... If we spunk all our money and hopes on this guy and he ends up banged up what then?? Were left up shit creek, out of a transfer window with what? Shola again?? OK I'm sure we would recover money etc, have a clause added etc but from a team point of view we would be right in the clarts. There has to be an alternative in world football who isn't potentially facing a seriously long jail term, surely Why risk it??
  18. So you think its because of a positive change. Women are now taken more serious when accusing someone of this crime. The police are now acting whereas at one time they wouldn't have? If that's the case then I wonder how many got away with such crimes years ago...awful to think of some poor lass not being believed or rapists getting off stock free. Just awful.
  19. What a complete horrible waste of oxygen this bloke is. What is it with all these rape allegations? On a serious note. What the hell is going on. I can't remember this level of accusation flying around 10 or 20 yrs ago? is it now just being reported more? Easier to report because of positive changes in the justice system? Is it that women feel more empowered to report such a vile act now? or that todays generation of young men footballers feel that they are beyond the law? Over paid, over hyped, too far removed from reality to think they are above reproach?? Or is it that they have such little respect for women? The wealth and status have gone to their heads? Do the women behind the allegations have a part to play? Is there anything in the point of view that some women cry rape? That they use this most vile of crimes as a weapon? I'm sure footballers from a generation ago would have had "groupies", yet I cant recall such a mass of rape allegations. Just seems such a proliferation of these cases/allegations now.... Anyone any ideas?
  20. Those people in the crowd? They don't actually pay or anything do they??
  21. Saw nowt from him, nor owt about him. Bye .
  22. Shocking stuff, to say the least. They actually quartered him and beheaded? Fucking barbaric.
