Everton seem very well represented, as do the smoggies. Couldn't say what any of em are like mind. Youth set ups better there than we have? Or is it a case of us having more overseas youth??

Rupert Murdoch plans the 'Formula 1' of football

Ditto. With big brass bollocks dangling off it. -
Good luck to the lad. Decent pro with limited ability. Not what we need, in terms of quality to progress us, but the lad always put an honest shift in. Perch should not be sold imo. Much improved, again limited but as a versatile player he is more than worth his place in the squad.

Gotze. Going by the pic posted in another thread.

Thought Ronaldo would have been posting tout suite at seeing that pic.... "Clearly an inferior street, sign not nearly as prominent or clear as some are in Brazil. Pathetic paint job on the posts.Crap sign really"

Agree. Looks like for once the club aint done too much wrong here. Not sure why anyone would be "shaking with anger" over this? Seems a fairly straightforward form and process, which will actually benefit the genuine claimants and root out anyone fraudulently using the scheme.

Nowt to do with that and I suspect you know it. For what it is worth I actually believe Joe Harvey should be honoured by NUFC with either a statue or a stand named after him. He too is a NUFC legend and arguably more justified than KK due to his longevity and the fact he won stuff here. There can be no denying or downplaying KK's impact at NUFc though nor Sir John Hall's. They are the two biggest figures in our post war history in terms of impact on everything about the club. We would be yo-yo-ing between the Championship and League One right now if it were not for those two, with gates of between 15-20K in a run down stadium. That's if we survived going bust which would have happened. They transformed the club completely. Where once we dreamed of being in the same division as the Man Utds and Liverpools we could actually dream of beating them to major honours. Where we once dreamed of being able to keep hold of our own local born players never mind anything else we could dream of signing anyone. We went from being close to 6m in debt turning over less than that a season or something to being cash rich and turning over 60m in the space of 5 years, all that with pretty much a new stadium built over the old stadium. Prior to the IPO only Man Utd turned over and made more than us and that was mostly down to the extra at the time 7-8K seats Old Trafford had over SJP. Commercially we were out performing even the likes of Barcelona and AC Milan. Our revenues went from 4m a year to 60m plus, from 6m debt to profit. Full houses every week with huge waiting lists that would further down the line enable us to expand the stadium further and actually fill it as we do now. All thanks to KK and Sir John Hall and of course guys like Fletcher, an unsung hero if ever there was one. Ironically him and KK fought like cat and dog over the running/direction of the club. He was the one that pushed for an IPO where as KK was as we all know dead set against it. All the IPO did was to make the likes of the Hall's and Shepherd's even richer. It didn't benefit the playing side one bit as it transpired. Agree 100% Amazes me that he hasnt had anything officially named after him , apart form a bar or restaraunt iirc? One of the stands named after him or at least a statue would be a mark of respect for the great man imo. On the finances thing, what baffles me is that no one really has ever seized our full potential. If only Ashley had an ounce of footballing nous he could make himself a lot of money, make us a true "giant" of a club and get us success on the pitch too. Always irked me that we havent had the best of men in the boardroom for long enough, with a vision of building the club in the right way. We could easily challenge any English side on a business front imo, with the right man/woman in charge. Our market has been/is hardly tapped really. Bloody frustrating.

He moved the summer transfers forward because the previous summer was not enough. They were already playing catch up, and it looks like the same will be repeated. They haven't got a fucking clue. Useless, all of em. Fat Mike, Llambriaarse and the cunt of a manager we are stuck with. Fuckwits every man jack of them. No way in hell that we aren't losing 1 or 2 of HBA, Colo, Cisse or Cabaye (imo)..... if we don't replace AND strengthen key positions Pardcunt will have us in bottom 3 easy. Useless twat will have us close anyway mind.

Man Utd Man City Chelsea Nailed on top 3.In any order ya fancy, due to managerial changes. Arsenal: investment being mooted heavily. Spurs: May even have new manager? Napoli sniffing for AVB? Benitez to Spurs? Scousers red: Full pre season and recruitment under blobfish. 2nd season of "improvement" Probable next 3, maybe pushing each other around positions wise Scousers blue. Interesting with new guy coming in. May drop a bit, may not. Then..... This is where a minimum challenge from us should begin. Minimum. Pushing for 7th, good run, confidence on the up may take us close and knocking on door of 6th/5th. Minimum. The squad we already have with 2/3 quality ready made 1st team additions, plus a couple of younger players for depth is more than capable of this imo. Problem is I can't see it. At all. Ridisculously bad business if nowt else. Sign some talented footballers. Hope to showcase them in PL and maybe Europe for couple of seasons, move em on for profit...but you have an idiot manager unable to get best from them.Sign talented youngsters, same business model. Plays them in wrong postions, in wrong roles. They are playing badly, demotivated, discouraged by the negative tactics, the "anti footballing" strategies of this clown. Their form drops, their value drops. Manager publicly slags of European competition, what an incentive to join us. Unrest. Club fannys around in mire of relegation fodder. You lose out on the profits from sell ons. All for the want of having a postive, tactically aware and astute modern coach to back up your model. Madness, So minimum eh? You think the absolute worst, the absolute bottom of the barrel we should do next season is come 7th? I think its what we should be prepared to accept yes.FFs its what we should be at least aiming for isnt it?? We are part of problem in some ways. Turn up year after year, decade after decade accepting shit served up as the norm. I know and undrstand what you are saying, but FFS if we arent even aiming for it, even aiming to be better than Fulham, Swansea, West Brom...... Nothing is guaranteed, obviously, but you manage the risk of failing by getting the sum of all the parts to add up. Good financial basis, Good youth system, Good modern facilities, Invest wisely in players..then fall flat by not having right man at the helm...

It's mainly the Carlton Cole one that worries me. He's leaving WH, and he fits the Pardew requirement to a tee. Scary. Could be so scary if they let Pardew make transfers. I fully expect Carlton Cole now. Yes I fear I completely agree.

Fantastic post -
I expect an Arsenal bid for him this summer. What a player he could be under an intelligent, tactically aware manager. :IE Wenger. Will be surprised if he is wearing our shirt next season imho.

Both of 'em for me. Ludicrous ruling, devalues whole competition imo.

Howay Chelsea...Hammer this .bunch of diving, play acting cnuts.

Voted cup. Same reasons as most on here. We will never win the league title again, imo. Not in my lifetime anyway. 4th is the new "holy grail"...how sad. Have to say I had to think hard about it as well, maybe an indictement on how far our priorities and expectations have been allowed to shift. I hate the way that the FA cup and the UEFA cup have been devalued. Real competitions and real history consigned to the trash or so debased that they have become nothing more than nuisances. If the ruling bodies of English and European football could do just one thing, for me it would be to redress the insane imbalance of the CL and restore some pride to other cup competitions. IMO this would add too and not detract from the overall standard of football in European leagues. The march to a "Super league" is gathering pace imho...god what a depressing thought. Manure et al v Real Madrid et al........forever......repeatedly...ugh.

Jesus christ there are dogs howling outside...this fecking reporter on Sky sports news is screeching so fucking loudly. Who the fuck is she? Awful, just awful....

Most important H/T team talk he's ever given most likely. Has he learnt anything from previous errors?.....45 mins to save us, possibly redeem his reputation a bit and show he's capable of change.
