  1. I don't get how he can't play. Last night demonstrated it perfectly for me. A guy who has been linked or embroiled in transfer speculation, for a lot longer than Cabaye, and at a more media prominent level just went out and did his job. Maybe to put himself even more in the shop window, maybe to show how "valuable" he is to his current side...for whatever reason. The lad just went out and played, he went to work. Cant see why this petulant cunt cant do the same. Or why we wont let him if that's the case either. Comes across as very disappointing to put it mildly.
  2. Is the right question Wonder what our reputation is really like amongst the"professional ranks"..has to be piss poor surely. Unless we are viewed as "easy money" and a moving on stage?
  3. Other than that he's great This has been my postion from day one. I refuse to accept this vile cunt as a "real manager". He engineered himself the job whilst Hughton was still in positon ( I firmly believe this), got it because of social connections with board members and not due to any football reasons at all. He took the postion to be the fall guy for Ashley et all, knowing he was gonna be well recompensed and that this is his last gig. He accepted form day one his position as toad of toad hall and gives not two hoots about NUFC. Aspects of which have been repeated with the idiot and buffoon that is Kinnear being appointed by our glorious leader. He is a spineless, feckless, coniving, lying, toadying vile piece of human shit. imo. In fact these attributes fit nicely with all of the glorious triumverate at our club.
  4. "Those are not the strikers you're looking for".
  5. Amazed it is Cabaye and not him that Arsene "tried to sign". Would not be surprised one jot if a late bid didn't materialize for him., and certainly in Jan if he remains fit. Along with Krul and Colo our only other player I would rate as "good to very good"
  6. Oh dear: best save everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
  7. So refs turn a blind eye to blatant infringements! Halsey says! Don't wanna go looking for trouble Mental.
  8. Forgot I could get BT sport for free ...just signed up ...god Owen sounds wooden.
  9. Pointless fixture. Utterly pointless. Its of no benefit to England, win lose or draw. Should NEVER play this lot unless its a competitive match in qualifying etc. They will win this comfortably is my prediction.. they care. The supporters care and the players do. Not one of ours will give a flying fuck. I actually am beginning to hate internationals, we are shit
  10. SBR way out ahead. Voted Harvey myself. Not sure if any of us would have 1st hand knowledge of Watt Looking at that 3 makes you proud though. Harvey, Keegan and Robson. What players and entertainment we had.
  11. Was tempted (Falkirk here), no chance of sitting with them though. Watch yourself with this lot. as you know, knuckle dragging would be a compliment. Ex in laws are all Teddy Bears. Froth at the mouth at the sight of a crucifix, or mention of Eire... Mentioned watching The Borgias in passing to one and thought he was gonna explode....
  12. Can't see Spurs being that far off the pace irrespective of the Bale situation. I see this as "our league" too. The order could be different, but that's who we are up against.
  13. very fair point. Not sure some of the half arsed, apparent lack of desire may be offset by this. Trying to look postively, obviously. of course it probably means them putting themselves in the shop window for the season after!
  14. Not suggesting they shouldnt either. hence the not supporting a ban otr censorship or prohibition either. Alcohol is a depressant. it is addictive and destroys many, many lives. Enjoyed responsibly it can be fun..I have and do drink. Now, very rarely though. Just commenting on what govts and socieites should be actively promoting really. Bit like smoking. Would not support a ban, but make it as difficult as possible to partake. Actively promote cessation, help for those addicted, comntinued health improvement and as a society I think we would all benefit. Purely from a capitalist point of view, a healthy and longer living population increases productivity and you would think hence profits. From a humanitarian point of view, ridding people of addictions and dependancy would seem a logical postive thing to encourage as a society. Alcohol is also a good way of controlling the population imo. "religion is the opium of the masses"...well nowadays so is actual opium and alcohol...
  15. Yep I agree. Not arguing for a ban or owt, but as a society not sure we should be so actively promoting them both. I think any govts have a responsibility here. Health promotion aspect etc... Would love to see a sober society.
  16. Shocking stuff. Alcoholism and gambling, bad combo. I find the pervasive advertising of gambling really disturbing. its literally everywhere. My youngest was saying the same just last week, she wondered how it could be allowed to promote it so much, when so many have problems with it and times being so hard as they are. Virtually every ad break has one on at some point. Coupled with sponsorship, Just seems wrong to me.
  17. Steady. What you implying? Anfield ban on its way for you.
  18. "He looked like a rabbit in head lights for most of last season" Good description. We have all probably been out of our depth at some point. Its tough to admit it at the time as well, and tough to ask for advice or assistance as well. Reverting to what you know, your comfort zone as it were: we all do it. I can see the same again...potentially.
  19. I hope you are right obviously. The thing that slightly, well more than slightly, worries me is the lack of clarity or planning that seems evident in our transfer startegy at the moment. I havent seen much of this Gomis lad tbh. Bent more so and Remy to an extent...but they all appear different kind of forwards. With Cisse staying, a big postive imo, then I would have thought we would have known what we want to supplimant him. its no use just randomly picking strikers out of thin air, or based on price ifwe havent a cohesive plan in place to enhance Cisse with the new signing. For instance. I wouldnt be going mental if the manager or powers signed Carlton Cole...now put the gun down and wait a bit! Lets say Pardew simply said.."I know 442. I know how to use a big un and a little un up front. I know I want wingers to supply them. I know my limitations, and so Cole and a small nippy type of strike partner it is. I also am gonna sign a Beagrie type of winger to supply em".. at least theres a plan. Maybe a very simple one!, but a kind of joined up thinking. Instead we get Sissoko being mooted as number 10, Cisse out wide, dear lord Ameobi out wide. Cabaye not deep enough (imo) and Tiote , well him on the pitch is bad enough for me. I can get the Remy idea, if he is happy with movement out wide being expected from him. I just worry we kinda just grab players without a thought of how we can utilise them.
  20. I guess you pays your money and you takes your choice. I can see what Ian and "the positives" are thinking , whilst personally being more in the "pessimists" corner. On paper the squad we have, the talent at our disposal, is more than enough to secure premiership status and survival. A half competent manager should easily be able to get that squad safe and maybe pushing the top half , say 12th and upwards (not anywhere near top 4 obvs)... Given 2/3 or hey lets be totally optimistic 4, signings that we need, in the right postions and the top 7 upwards is a realistic shout (much nearer to top 4 as well imo). The problem lies in not the lack of transfer activity, although that is frustrating enough, but in the lack of clarity and vision in it for me. I have no faith in the ownership of our club. He wants out imo, and is merely treading water. I also am in the camp of he wants to make us, the fans hurt. he wants to pay us back for the insults, the acrimony and the general fact that a lot of us, maybe not the majority, but a sizeable minority want him gone and do not care for him and his cronies one jot. He will do just enough, just enough to try and protect our PL status, whilst clawing his dosh back. TBH thats all by the by. The JK appointment is not just bizarre, its malicious imo: will it impact on the season?? Some say no, not onto the players and the team on the filed. Im not so sure. How many of us are distarcetdby managerial changes and wranglings at work? How many of us take the foot off the pedal when a change is imminent or confusion reigns?? , hands up, I know I do. Will some of our players maybe be affected similarly? A bad start and the morale crashes?? The lack of vision in the transfer in of players in respect of team building is the heart of the on field problems. Our manager is a poor one. I dont think hes capable of change, of learning from mistakes made last season, of the ultra negative approach being changed to a more free flowing and attack minded style. I think hes limited. Couple his limitations with the disoragnised recruitment that appears to be pervaiding the club and its a potential car crash. The cheapest option isn't always the right option.nor is it always the wrong option, imo we should be targetting players to enhance a particular style of play. I know people mock Liverpool and Rodgers with his "project", but that kind of thing, in the long term, and if folllowed up on, is the way to go imo. Having a plan, a long term vision and a particular style of play, getting the right players to fit the right postions, to get the right balance. Seems obvious. The right pegs for the right holes. Whats the point of Bent for insatnce if we dont improve our supply from wide areas? We arent "massivley f***ed". Thats a fair point. But.... I can envisage a scenario wherbys given a poor start , given some rumblings and further "odd" or plain malicious decisions by our owner we could be in for a very tricky season. I wouldnt bet against it.
  21. Whats the bit about having a girlfriend?? Are they banned as well like
