Agreed with especially these last two paragraphs. It's an infuriating, frustrating and illogical situation.

So close yet so far comes to mind. Only 3 points off fourth place but the way we've been playing since the new year and it not looking like changing any time soon leaves me with no hope.

I wonder how he feels now about Pardew's promises of passing, ball retaining football. It's long since gone to shit.

He probably feels he's in a situation where he can do no right. He's given barely any time on the pitch and in that short amount he must make every touch count. Either be hyper productive or risk being either hauled off or remain on the bench after the slightest mistake. It's pathetic that the situation has got to this point.

This point of view is just as annoying. The main reason people want Ben Arfa to play is because he is more likely to help get a good result than Obertan or Raylor. The fact that he hasn't been given any time in the team whilst the other two are given numerous free passes is the reason he gets talked about a lot and why the frustration is building.

Hard to be playful on the bench.
