Carragher and Neville still absolutely refusing to lay much, if any, blame at Bruce's door. Carragher showing clips of systematic dreadful defending, highlighting the very kind fixture list and the worst he can come up with is "he's going to do well to keep his job" or words to that effect. Completely absolving him of blame, he's had 5 transfer windows, 28 months in the job and nearly £100m net to spend after he took over a fully functioning, highly organised machine. He's totally fucked it and he's getting away with the fucking lot. It's a fucking disgrace tbh.
-
Yeah, why not? After he's finished doing the floors he can scrub the fucking bins out and lick the bogs clean the smarmy fucking pig.
-
Another lead given up. Another failure to keep a clean sheet. This is exactly why he needed to go last week. Mint atmosphere, goal headstart and still fucks it up within 20 mins. Opportunity lost.
-
Inherits a very promising, balanced, organised and highly motivated. Spends a further £93m net and is now trying to take credit for...... wait for it....not relegating it. Well done Steve, it's all down to you. You're a fucking hero. What a man.

See the look on their faces when the (clearly deranged) caller suggested Bruce at Man U? Same cunts who have shouted from the rafters how good he is for the last 2 years. Sly as a box of monkeys, the pair of them.
-
Bruce has trained and prepared the squad, Bruce is in the dugout and Bruce has decided the team and formation. Bruce is also in charge of subs and all decisions over the 90 mins. I'm predicting a 2 goal win for Spurs and a wasted opportunity to collect at least a point based on all of the above. This is why he should have been sacked this week. The support from the crowd will be massive but once Kane slots one home in the 20th minute it'll be flat as a witch's tit for the remainder of the afternoon. All momentum lost. Spurs -1 is 10/3, lump on.

Just going to keep reminding myself that I'm not responsible for the actions of any other individual Newcastle fans. I've got no control over what they do and say so I'm not going to worry myself about it. I want to enjoy the game, I've waited long enough to see the back of Ashley and I think I deserve to do so without worrying what a tiny minority of fucking brainless idiots say or do tomorrow. They're responsible for their own shit, not me, fuck that.

I just meant random little club that I have no feelings for either way. Could have been anyone really, wasn't singling out Port Vale in particular
-
Can genuinely say I've barely even had a thought about Middlesbrough for over 4 or 5 years. They're just another club tbh, no different to Huddersfield, Port Vale or Barnet.

Think it's a huge mistake not to bin him this week. We'll not know for certain until 6.30 on Sunday night how big a mistake it is, he could even spawn a win and it'll settle everyone down again but that seems unlikely. Taking their time to appoint the right people is the absolute best way to do it though, if they need to wait a month or 2 for their men to become available then so be it. It's a huge appointment and they need to get it right. That doesn't mean that Bruce needed to remain in charge, those are 2 separate decisions imo. Sacking Bruce and replacing him are 2 individual actions that absolutely need to be taken. Removing Bruce should have been done at the start of the week, it's going to happen so it might as well have happened as soon as possible. Appointing the new bloke is the key, important one, sacking Bruce was the no-brainer and they've got it wrong, again imo. Crowd reaction to him will be interesting on Sunday as will his reaction to it and the result itself. We're now less likely to win with him in the dugout which compounds the problem and the table will look pretty grim on Sunday night. Wonder how long it takes for them to regret it?

Salah evens for 1 sot tomorrow, should be automatic. Famous last words

No bother. As you were

Keeping the proven failure makes no sense to me. Even without the takeover he needed to be removed from the job as his record over the last 9 months is abysmal, most other normal clubs would already have sacked him by now, he's horrific. What's a worse option than a bloke who can't win a game of football for love nor money? What's worse than replacing a shithouse who's already dropped 18 points from a possible 21 from a very comfortable set of fixtures? What's the worst that could happen? We lose games this gormless cunt would have lost anyway? Jesus. He's inept, bin the horrible cunt asap. Doesn't matter who fills in for the time being.
-
So he's decided to rejoin the board 5 days after we've been taken over? What a monumental (and pure coincidental) coincidence. Sure there's absolutely nothing linking these 2 events. Never, ever trust a Tory.
-
Yep. And if they do it before the game then I'll be delighted. Honestly think it's a winnable game and the crowd could carry the players through it with the positive momentum. Not sacking him and keeping him in place risks another home game lost and the momentum stopped dead in it's tracks on Sunday.
-
I think he's the sweetcorn in the shit tbh. He's not the answer long term but he's the best of a very bad bunch and has more potential than the rest combined. Jones, with all caveats applied, has the best chance of rousing the players and crowd on Sunday simply because of the fact he's not Steve Bruce. He's far from perfect but he's got something about of him imo, others, namely Southgate, agree. Sticking with Bruce is weak and demonstrates a lack of judgement and willingness to act decisively. It's a huge call. They haven't.
-
I understand your point of view but honestly don't agree with it Sticking with a management team that's failing so miserably just because you've not had time to think about replacements make zero sense to me. You remove the underperforming team and replace them s and when you can. Jones and a couple of extra pairs of hands to help out is better than sticking with tried and tested dogshit. Again, just my opinion.
-
If they're professional they'll identify the barriers to progress and remove them immediately. Bruce is the ultimate barrier, makes no sense to me to allow him to continue another day as he's performing disgracefully and has been for some time. I get the fact they are still sounding people out about taking over but that dusky mean the bloke failing miserably should be allowed to continue until they find a more permanent solution. He can't buy a win. He needs to be sacked as a priority. Like, fucking now.
-
I just think it seems out the wrong message tbh. He's won 5 of his last 37 iirc? He doesn't deserve to continue full stop. I just think they need to make a bit of a statement. Keeping him on isn't the right message to send out to people inside and outside of the club. Just my opinion though mate

No time for sentiment or kid gloves, we're 19th and every point and game counts to move forward. This arsehole has over 20 years of failure sprinkled with the odd 2 month purple patch every now and again. He's not part of the future and the sooner he's binned the better, makes no sense at all to keep him on under any circumstances, he needs to go and go asap and he should already be out of the door imo. Potentially their first (pretty big) mistake tbph, they need to be swift and ruthless with shit like this.
-
Yeah, forgot about him tbh, he makes the cut too
-
Absolutely need to strengthen the whole spine of the team. We've got the odd good player here and there but we could really do with 2xCB, 2xCM and at least another CF. I'm fine with Dubravka (for now, providing he's back to his best), ASM is very good obviously, Wilson, Almiron, Fernandez, Hayden and Lascalles and Willock are adequate enough to keep their places in the matchday squad but after that I'm not bothered about losing a single one of them. Some decent pros and some absolute wasters in the leftovers but I'd not be sorry to wave any of them goodbye as we look to get another 25 points+ a season more. This is the way.

Premier league clubs seething about Newcastle United takeover.
midds replied to Gallowgate1892's topic in Football
Agreed. Nothing wrong with the comment but it doesn't need yet another separate thread for it. Discuss it elsewhere please. -
I for one reckon that Mike Ashley definitely has the best interests of rock bottom Derby County at heart.
