Dubravka + wife and kid in the Botanist few hours ago Looked worried that we hadn't signed 2 more. CF and RW

5 at the back and pack the CM with 3. Pace on the break if possible. Defend the box, deny space behind and prioritise set pieces, if they're going to score then make them work for it, keep the shape and hope to frustrate them Bingo.

I'm all for ambition and striving for it, I've craved it for decades. But given the choice of 11th, 8th, 8th, 7th, 7th 5th, 3rd 3rd, 2nd etc compared to 11th, 7th, 12th, 9th, 10th, 8th, 9th, 7th, 6th then I'm picking the former. I want them to build something big and substantial and that needs a solid base imo. Too much too soon is exactly what I'm cautious of. Might not be popular but I'm in no rush - build it solid, build it big.
-
Understand that totally. I'm just a bit wary of going too soon when we've got little in reserve. We seem to be struggling a bit now, if we get the commercial deals done then it's full steam ahead, bring it on. But that doesn't seem to be where we are right now.

Conte would bite Tuchel's nose off within 15 seconds. TKO

You're right, I get it Difference is Pardew/Ashley had absolutely no intention of growing anything. I'm just saying I want us to be strong before we have a proper pop at it. If we're not then it'll rebound

Finishing 6th could be a bit of a poisoned chalice tbh. We'd be playing an extra 10-12 games a season, Thursday/Sunday for long periods of the season. That would mean more games, more players, bigger wage bill. Given we're already looking at being reined in by FFP then adding all of that into the equation would suggest it would fall flat on it's face, we don't currently have the academy to pad the squad out in enough games. Slowly slowly, next 2 or 3 years. Let's build it first before we go big. It'll start with getting the sponsorship deals in first, then we can have a proper go.

Dopey fuckers need to understand that people are allowed to support/oppose and condone/condemn whatever they like. Like saying if you've ever bought a T-shirt from Primark then you definitely support child labour in Bangladesh. There isn't a Sunderland fan making the rules up of how humans are allowed to think Got no problem with highlighting atrocities that are going on, it's abhorrent tbh, but them suddenly finding their moral compasses and unexpected interest in Yemen is very conveniently timed.

Just basic, alpha male shit. He was the 'man' in the CM of Liverpool and he's never changed from club to club and role to role. He's a fucking arsehole imo.

Can someone cancel Souness please

Need Jomboy to dissect the handshake like

Wonder if the media will come out and say the familiar "Man U fans and their unrealistic expectations" trope/shite if it goes downhill?
-
I'd have buried the entire mic through his fucking eyeball and lodged it deep into his skull if that thick cunt said that to me.

Neville absolutely foaming

I think it's the manner of the defeats that'll have them quaking. Brighton rocked up, played an aggressive 3 at the back, took them on and completely played them off the park. They out-footballed them. Then Brentford show up and bully them. They throw it in the box and outfight them playing neat, smart football and batter them within half an hour. These are 2 teams who've recently been promoted and have got themselves on a fairly equal footing footballing-wise within a few seasons. All this despite Man U spending about half a billion on the squad. There are massive, massive inherent problems at that club and it's not just confined to the boardroom either, it's also in that dressing room, those players couldn't give a single fuck.

Liverpool next match too. What the fuck are Liverpool going to do to this lot?
-
Didn't watch it today but it sounds like we have just ground out a very decent point away to a very good Brighton team. I'd have settled for it before the game and we've now got 4 from 2 games with 2 clean sheets, it sets us up for the difficult games against City and Liverpool.

Dyche is going to have a hell of a job to keep this Everton side up, they're stinking

Remember the graphs they pulled out showing how wealthy they were going to be?

Keep Knockaert quite and we'll be ok

They're utter pigshit. Forest would wipe the floor with this lot. There's literally nothing there in that squad, fucking shite
