His wages are surely going to be a massive stumbling block though if all the quibbling about paying them during his loan and the size of them we made are to be taken as truths. Maybe he's willing to take a wage cut in exchange for playing somewhere he feels a bit more comfortable and happy? I know it's a long shot like.

Can't see him in a Villa shirt next year after the things he's said about the club and the city. Always thought that if his head's right then he's a good asset and it sounds like Pardew fancies him next year. That said he's got to show something on the park before we even think about making it permanent.

That's Crouch's 8th foul now. How many more times before he's booked?

Milan bossing this. Spurs look really ragged atm.

Needs an away goal to open it up a bit.

Can't see how a team that doesn't manage an attempt can say they were robbed. The sending off was harsh but Barca could have scored 7 or 8 tonight. The best (by far) side won.

Dreadful from Bendtner like. Could have won them the game with a simple control and finish.

You just know that Torres is going to get about 7 against us when we go down there.

In fact alot talking about people on this forum (including me) falling for the "PR line" of the club, well I think most are falling for this great PR exercise. Appoint a spineless c*** and he'll get all the blame. The finger is constantly being pointed at the manager, when in reality it should be being pointed as those above him. He's just a puppet, and it's working for Ashley perfectly. Not constantly, just when he f***s up the starting XI and his subs. Square pegs in round holes don't work and he carries the can. square pegs......like barton on the right wing ? Barton on the right of midfield has worked tbf. The exception rather than the rule though. how many other squre pegs has he played ? yesterday seemed an all round poor performance rather than blaming those two, the left and centre (from the tv at leat) were equally as bad. He started a RB at RW, and a CB at RB. When given the choice or bringing of Ferguson to replace Enrique like for like he decided to play the RB who was playing RW back to LB, and move a striker to RW. None of the players who played out of position played well. a CB whom many were saying was the best right back at the club till recently. with what we had at our disposal yesterday someone was going to be out of position. it's not like he has a fat sam type mania for it. Which is part of the problem. Pardew also decided to break up the back 4 to accommodate Taylor by shifting Simpson which also backfired spectacularly. I realise we're thin on the ground and the injuries aren't Pardew's fault but playing having to play Simpson and Lovenkrands at RW when Routledge is at QPR takes the piss a little bit.

I'd go along with that. Still maintain that if the playing side of things go tits up then he's going to get criticism. Rough with the smooth.
-
Why take the job then? He's decide to work for the c***s and needs to get on with it. He's being paid to keep his mouth shut and pick the team/tactics. He's done a good job in that respect. You thought he got it right yesterday? He's done reasonably well overall but yesterday was worrying. We'll see what he comes up with at Stoke.

He 's the manager of a Premier League football team. If he or that team under-perform then he's got to expect criticism. He knew what he was getting into and he's a big boy. He's not immune and he, ultimately, carries the can for results and performances.

At the time though Barton was playing well and Taylor was coming back from injury. Maybe Pardew thought we could do without him and put it to Llambias who ok'd it? or maybe lambias did it without giving a fuck what pardew thinks? I wouldn't rule that out either tbh.

Don't see how it would benefit Pardew in any way whatsoever. Maybe? It certainly hasn't benefitted Pardew as we looked lopsided as fuck yesterday. Would have also been good for Kadar to have been on the bench in a position to come on for Enrique too. If he hadn't have been loaned to Huddersfield that is...

I thought Routledge made it clear that Pardew didn't fancy him and was only too willing to peddle him to QPR?

Liverpool look like a completely different side. Their movement is clever and passing is crisp. Suarez looks the shit and the rest of them look like they're buzzing. They'll rip us a new one next month.
-
It's the manner of the defeat though. Everton were poor too but they were better than us. Some of Pardew's decisions yesterday were insane. Some of the performances from the players was totally unacceptable. The harsh reality of the situation is that we're not safe yet and a few more games like that and we'll tumble down the league.

If we can't play him when we have players out then we're unlikely to have a better opportunity. Exactly. The only reason Carroll played was because or injuries and suspensions when he was breaking through. Play the lad ffs.
