Champion. Instantly adds £5m to his value and he'll be guaranteed to sit on the bench and put his feet up while Rooney attempts to get back into the groove.
-
Akinbiyi? No better than Crouch tbh.
-
They've picked the wrong time to tighten the purse-strings. Should always buy when you're on the up. They've definitely missed a trick and it'll set them back imo.

Astonished that Spurs have been so quiet in the market this summer. Of all transfer windows we've had this is the one where I thought Spurs would have a real go for it and bring in some real quality but it's passed them by. This season they could offer players the London lifestyle AND Champions League but they're arguably no better than this time last year. Poor show tbh.

...or its the sign of grown men paying good money theyve earnt to watch utter shite. If you pay the money, you can boo if you want. Doesn't make it right, and I've never done it myself, but I completely understand why people do it. Not got a problem with fans shouting and screaming foul-mouthed abuse from the stands but to see adults booing is just ridiculous.
-
I think the club will be dilighted if they have to sign Ben Arfa, I can't see them dropping him unless he's not good enough. Sorry, was being flippant. Ben Arfa paying in more than 25 of the remaining 35 games would mean he's doing the business. He's probably not suited to all of our fixtures but his quality will mean we'll need him to get us a goal in loads of games. We're going to be involved in a lot of close games this season and him turning a draw into a win or a loss into a draw could be vital.

Booing is for kids at pantomimes tbh. Seriously, seeing grown men booing footballers is about as toe-curlingly childish as it gets.
-
Easy, as soon as Ben Arfa has played 24 games.
-
it's NUFC. It wont be one, it'll be all. Got to be said that Guthrie looks a mile away from the firt XI when you see the options we've now got. He'll obviously get a few games as and when but he's got a fight on his hands to establish himself now. O/T I know.
-
It's nice to have options and players flexible enough to play in a couple of positions/formations depending on what's needed though. Unfortunately, this being NUFC, it's only a matter of time before one of Routledge, Barton, Tiote, Nolan, Jonas or Smith picks up and injury and the team will start to pick itself.
-
They'll pull out and Carroll will get called up, sit on the bench and rest his weary legs imo.
-
Craig Fagan stylee.

God, are you still going on? Your horrible long team side lost at home to Wigan yesterday, yet here you are playing the 'holier than thou' card and preaching to me. Why on earth would you think I, or indeed the rest of the entire world, would give a s*** about Spurs tedious rambling on about their great football? If you want to preach about the quality of your play, at least have something worth crowing about in living memory as testimony to it - a bit like Arsenal down the road, for example. Spurs problem is - and has been for years - that they are the incarnation of "all fart, no s***". I'm not a latin scholar, so is that what "audere est facere" means? What you mean like last season? the fact is we're the only team outside the sky 4 that have qualified for the champions league and we're the only team outside the sky 4 that have won a domestic trophy in recent history (you had 2 chances to do the same and failed btw). Btw I commented about your teams performance today. You brought us up and i replied. Yes we played shite yesterday...it happens. This is a thread dedicated to discussing games that took place on the day so please stop taking it so personally. Newcastle and Portsmouth tbh.

If Villa are offering cash then the chances are he'll go there. Although that doesn't quite tie-in with the Villa statement tonight about not signing anymore players until a boss has been named. Fuck knows.
-
Makes you wonder why he didn't come in for him...
-
Aye, think I'll have a few squid on them.
-
and gets recalled to the England team and starts with Carroll up front.
-
What utter shit. A loan move? Who's that going to benefit? If he's refusing to sign the contract then we may as well keep him and play him. Very few clubs would be willing to pay his wages for a loan deal, certainly no-one in the CCC and Celtic aren't exactly flush atm either.
-
And then Bent hands in a transfer request as he feels he needs to leave to further his England prospects. and signs for City at 5.30 on Tuesday afternoon.
-
...and we're off.
-
Got to be a mixture of a few kids who deserve a run out and a few older hands. To play 8 or 9 of the young lads at Stamford Bridge would knock their confidence. I'd go something like: Krul Perch Kadar Campbell Williamson Routledge Smith Tiote Lua Lua Ranger Lovenkrands We'll need all the pace we've got as they're going to dominate possession and we might have to rely on hitting them on the break if we're going to keep it respectable. It's a game where there is absolutley no pressure or expectation and they can go down there and try to enjoy it. It'll be no disgrace to go out to them.
-
should hughton whinge about it though ? Nope. Making a issue of it is the worst thing he could do.
-
Joey Barton may well be a cunt, but he's our cunt. He's wearing black and white and if he's getting kicked all over the park without reacting then I'm going to back him up.
