  1. Southall Stevens Mountfield Ratcliffe van den Hauwe Reid Sheedy Steven McMahon Gray Sharp They were fucking excellent tbh
  2. Possibly, aye? He's new to the PL and they're still being figured out and researched by the rest of the league so that's go to come into things a bit I suppose. They were the beneficiaries of the Liverpool var thing and got 2 injury time goals against Sheff U too. Fair enough they won both but both were quite unusual and rare types of games, games that don't happen very often but they got the points and atm they're 2nd. Just think it'll even itself out a bit and they'll slip back into the pack soon enough. They've also played 5 or the bottom 6 too. Won them all to their credit but their points total just seems a bit inflated and false maybe? Meh, we'll see in May
  3. Spurs still have a lot of tough games to play and are still riding a bit of a wave imo. They've had a great start to the season and I like Ange but they'll regress a bit and start to fall down the league a little in the next few months. Just a hunch
  4. Said it last night - he's tried to do Longstaff 100% there. Even if he wins the ball it's going directly into the stands for a throw, he just saw the red mist and flew in to try and wipe him out. It was a blatant attempt to try and injure him with the nature of the tackle and the position it happened on the park. To not red card him was absolutely spineless and helped to kick the rest of the players off, ref was an arsehole all night

Liked how even the stadium announcer sounded increasingly exasperated at each additional check with var "and now they're checking the fucker for an offside.....jesus fucking wept man"
  6. I think even the worst case scenario is that we finish 6th or 7th this season which would mean we drop into the EL I believe. I think we'd have an excellent chance of winning that thing next season if we don't get CL this.

  8. This lad is phenomenal. Gets the ball in any circumstance in any area and just knows what to do instinctively. Bit radge too at times which only endears him to me a bit more each time. He's not perfect but he's who I'd like to be if I were a footballer - I can't give him a more of a shove than that.
  9. We're not there yet but just think about where we'll be in 3 years time man. It's been 4 transfer windows and look at the progress we've made in these last 24 months, it's been phenomenal. Give it another 4 windows and we'll be knocking the shit out of the 'establishment' teams on a regular basis. It'll happen, just give it time and be patient.
  10. They managed a paltry 1 shot on target (which was comfortably saved), why the fuss? They didn't do anywhere near enough to win the game, at most they lost a point. Loads of corners but Pope doesn't need to wash his kit tonight, he had absolutely nothing to do.
  11. Remember when we were utter shit and these teams ran over us without breaking sweat? Remember when the odd goal here and there never mattered because there was a yawning chasm between the 2 sides on display? Now you have moaning wankers like Arteta virtually crying because things aren't going their way any longer. We've absolutely arrived on the scene and are here for the duration. We're no longer a push-over and a soft-touch, we're taking points from them and knocking them out of Cups now. Fucking elbows out and punching our weight and they hate it. We're extra competition and they don't know how to react, it's beautiful.

Spineless fucker. Watched that and let it go with only a yellow, that's fucking dreadful refereeing. Ball on the touchline, nothing to be gained by winning that tackle and Havertz saw it as an opportunity to smash Longstaff and could have broken an ankle or leg with the tackle. As soon as players see that type tackle not being given the correct punishment then they start trying to settle things up themselves because they don't trust the ref to do it, it shouldn't happen but it does. Not condoning Bruno for the elbow, that was bang out of order but if Atwell does his job properly then the Bruno incident never happens.
  13. It's a possibility like But they just look so so poor every time I see them. They're a mess in all areas and they're no apparent system or fluidity to their game. They're winging it basically and it's built on nothing, there's no foundations or substance to their play at all.
  14. They won't give a single fuck but pulling a rabbit out of the hat with injury time winners is 100% not sustainable like Being utterly rank for most of the games they seem to play will catch up with them and they'll have to sack him
  15. Man U are broken. If they're even struggling against this Newcastle side then they have zero hope at all, they're done. That Newcastle side is about as weak as we could have named and we've brushed them aside in that first half. May not last obviously but they're fucking shocking under this bloke regardless of opposition
  16. The frustration comes from the fact we have so many injuries and tired legs that we have virtually no choice but to put out that XI against a team that's already under a huge amount of pressure. Had we been able to name a much better line-up then I think they'd be there for the taking. They'd probably say the same though tbh. Meh, whatever happens will happen
  17. Frustrated that we couldn't put out a better team against this lot but it's completely understandable. The League Cup was always going to be the lowest priority this season and the line-up definitely reflects that. Man U will win at a canter thus relieving a little of the pressure on ten Hag and we'll look ahead to bigger and better games in the next few weeks. It is what it is
  18. Kalulu fucked for Milan (looked like a thigh). CB and they're already short there
  19. Until they start deducting several points from teams that do this shit then it'll continue.
  20. Don't think this should be underestimated either. I know the fixture list will eventually all even itself out and I'm not whinging but I'd argue we'll have played 23 matches from August to Dec 15th (15 PL, 6 CL & 2 LC) and I think only 4/5 of them could be considered 'easier' fixtures (Sheff U & Bournemouth away and Burnley & Palace home) every other game has been fairly/very difficult. The 8 Cup fixtures have all been against high quality teams and we've already played 8 of the other 12 teams in the current top 13. When the opposition is so consistently good then any rotation is likely to cost points. I'm not defending anything but the level of teams we've played hasn't led to us being able to rest bodies enough. As I say, I'm not moaning about it but difficult fixtures have to be considered - it will get easier but not for the next 6 weeks or so
