  1. It's virtually the same tackle so they both deserved the same punishment. Happy for both to be yellow because of the lack of intent or both to be red because of the danger posed but to give one a red and the other nothing is ridiculous. Rashford was unlucky last night but I can see the logic of giving a red but whatever happened 24 hours ago isn't happening tonight then that's out of order. It puts it down to sheer luck and that shouldn't be the case
  2. Can't bend his knee. 10 months out apparently
  3. They'll still go through. Bayern will phone it in on matchday 6 guaranteed
  4. He's accidentally stamped on his ankle. He clearly never meant to do it but he clearly came down on his ankle too, just because he didn't mean it doesn't get him off the hook. I've got lots of sympathy for him but I can see why it's been given

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

It's hard to say it's a bad thing from a neutral point of view. The loaning back and forth from sister teams in different leagues should have been clamped or restricted a long time ago tbh, the Watford/Udinese link has been ridiculous. It's the obvious timing that's laughable. If we only had 2 or 3 out inured then it wouldn't have even been mentioned let alone voted upon. It's just an obvious knee-jerk reaction to idle speculation - "bet they just loan a few from the Saudi league. Just watch, bet you they do".........and then 2 weeks later it's an actual thing and being voted on because of the paranoia it's triggered around the boardrooms of the (fucking petrified) PL. It is what it is, difficult to argue against and will probably happen. Not sure how it'll work like - Company A owns Team A and Team B. Can Team A loan to team B? Can team B loan to team A? Who decides who is team A and Team B?
  6. Not going to be too harsh on the lads tonight, it just wasn't our night, plenty of effort but lacking in quality and knowhow. Dortmund bossed that tonight imo, they controlled the tempo, killed attack after attack and defended really well and in numbers. That's unsurprising when you compare the levels of European experience the 2 teams had. We're just not there yet as a club and a squad. we've been catapulted from the bottom of the PL to the CL group of death in 2 years and on nights like this it shows. We've done everything we possibly can to develop and strengthen the squad but we're still susceptible to a bad run of injuries, the squad can't cope with the intensity and quality of the teams we've played since August, it's been relentless. It's no-one's fault but we need another few years before we can really land some punches in the CL. I'm just enjoying the ride safe in the knowledge that we'll only get stronger and stronger as each season passes. We're very much on the right road, chin up gentlemen
  7. That was the chance. Not going to get too many more better than that. Awful miss
  8. Every break is nipped in the bud early with a little foul, they know exactly what they're doing and are used to playing under European refs. They're getting away with it too, it's infuriating but there's no deterrent from the ref so why wouldn't they?
  9. Strange performance so far, to be expected I suppose. We just don't look like we believe we can hurt this lot, too many gestures of players looking for a pass and not being able to find it. They're just better than us tbh
  10. Chelsea will win this but they're so shit like
  11. This has always been the problem with Spurs - just thick/mental/weak/undisciplined call it what you like. They're just not 'strong' for want of a better word. They always lose it eventually, mentally or physically or both. This is why I don't consider them a serious team in the long term. You can always get at them.
  12. These 2 should be made to play each other every week, it's class
  13. Spurs looking fucking brilliant tonight tbf. Very slick and confident

Yep, intensity is NOT going be our identity for the next 2 months I reckon
  15. I'd have agreed with you yesterday but I've been thinking about it today. In a normal game I think both Havertz and Bruno are both reds, both totally unacceptable and both fully deserved a red imo. But then I was thinking how the Havertz tackle given just a yellow 'raised the bar' by the ref. If he's not going to send off a player for a tackle like that then the Bruno elbow isn't as bad so shouldn't be given as anything more than a yellow too. Both players definitely got away with it but it kinda equals itself out. Totally agree that if Havertz walks then the Bruno elbow never happens
  16. Still can't quite get my head around the scale of the outrage from Arsenal about this, they've shown themselves up because of a marginal/slight contact in the box. Neville has just closed the door on the ball being out in the clip above. The offside is impossible to determine either way but it didn't look off at the time and I've seen nothing to say it was on any replay. So aaaaaaaaalll this outrage has come about because of minimal contact in the box and the decision to give the goal. That's it. 1 bit of contact. Arteta is sick, it's a disgrace, it's embarrassing - 1 fucking decision went against them and every toy is out of the pram and have been hoyed across the street by the soft cunts. That decision may have potentially cost them 1 point, they were never coming close to winning that game but they may have held on for a point if it's ruled out. That's it. Honestly man, every fan is laughing at the reaction from what I've seen, they're embarrassing

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Fair enough, just a thought Injuries happen like, can't avoid them all season but we've just been a bit unlucky that we have so many all at the same time. But it gives others a chance to play and improve, if they can just hold the fort for another 10-12 games then we'll kick on massively when they come back into he squad in Jan/Feb. Need to try and spin it into a bit of a positive for some squad players who might not have had the chance to play otherwise - this is their opportunity

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Didn't we buy a raft of young (mainly Irish iirc) kids this summer? Are any of them capable of coming off the bench and giving us 20 minutes here and there? Not suggesting they're ready to start PL games or anything close but we need the bodies right now
  19. How much more force can you put into a tackle when you've taken off, flown through the air for 2 or 3 yards with both feet aimed at your opponents legs and made contact with both for it to be deemed 'excessive' what more does the cunt have to do ffs?
  20. Couple of potential appearances in a 3 week period isn't going to hurt
  21. One last huge effort from everyone on Tuesday please. Bournemouth away a few days later then they can all put their feet up for a fortnight. Go with the strongest XI we have and try and enjoy it, soak in the atmosphere and come away with at least a point if possible, no reason why we can't. Expecting an especially big performance from Bruno as he'll get 3 weeks off I'll go with a twitchy 1-2
  22. Impossible to disagree Got to bare in mind that Saturday was his first domestic loss since May. First game of domestic football they've lost in 6 months and he's had a genuine and complete and utter meltdown immediately afterwards. Bloke looked on the verge of tears and ironically he's now become the weak link in his own set-up. His team play some lovely stuff and are far more resilient than in years gone by but he's now the liability, he's the one who can't control his own emotions and it'll transmit itself onto the pitch when his team are playing in big games. Teams are a reflection of their managers and he's pure fucking dodge, the cosseted little prick
