Agree with that totally.
-
I think he'll end up in the MLS personally.
-
Can't really blame them tbh. Someone else will give him a go but both of his knees are just about fucked. Fantastic talent but always get the feeling we never saw the best of him as he spent so much time either injured or carrying an injury. A genuine shame.
-
Why should he? [devil's advocate] Because when he was signed, he was signed to play football. His poor decision making has put him in Prison, subsequently meaning he cannot play, its not like an injury these actions were avoidable. See my edit.
-
Why should he? Has he broken one of the terms of his contract? If I hadn't broken my contract and my employer tried to halve my wages, I'd not agree to it either. If he has then I think he'd have been sacked by now already. I think you need to apportion a bit of blame to whoever was thick enough not to put some type of clause into his contract when we signed him. This was hanging over him when we signed him and should have had the foresight to anticipate this very event happening. [devil's advocate]

Nailed on. This is definitely, DEFINITELY going to happen.

He's a fucking scubber. I thought that was savage tbh, the way he kept going back for more even when on the ground was disgusting. I meant it didn't seem anywhere near as bad as the papers made it out to be. I'm not defending the little twat and I'm not saying it was trivial because it wasn't, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting.
-
That was bang out of order from Barton. No need whatsoever for it. Before I saw it I was expecting a really savage kicking based on the reports. It's nowhere near as bad as the rags made it out to be. Still want what's best for the club when it comes to keeping him or sacking the horrible little shit.

Bargain. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3759279,00.html

Deco arrives for £7.9m apparently. Skysports.com

Isn't the fee for fat frank quoted at being about £7m due to his contract being up next season? Ah right. Thought he had longer than a year left tbh.
-
Getting Deco for £10m is a good bit of business imo. Inter will give them far more than that for Fat Frank. Deco'll do well over here.

Does this include people who genuinely just can't afford to go any more? Should they f*** off too? Anyone who genuinely can't afford to go, but would like to, deserves absolute sympathy. Theres no doubt that watching football, like most other things in England, is expensive in comparison to other countries. But it's like people allegedly not being able to afford food or fuel or other things, and the numbers of people living in supposed poverty in the UK - There is NO poverty in the UK. There are people who are not as well off as others - but to see real poverty you have to visit other parts of the planet. People who complain about not being able to heat their houses etc - and sure, rising energy costs affect everyone - should perhaps think about budgeting and even sacrificing some of the non essential luxuries which are almost taken for granted. For example a season ticket costs approx £500 - that is about a tenner a week - an individual can spend their money in whatever way they wish - but if there is a choice between supporting Newcastle by making the sacrifice of 3 or 4 pints a week, a couple of packets of tabs or a takeaway meal each week, then I know what any TRUE Newcastle fan would choose. If you want to support Newcastle fine, if you don't want to support Newcastle thats fine too, but I'm not sure the "can't afford to go" argument is a particularly valid one. You've answered my question.

Well done Spain. They've played some lovely stuff this summer.

I don't mind Lineker and Shearer. Hansen used to be spot on but he's trying too hard now. Martin O'Neill is excellent though.
-
Aye, you're spot on. Wonder what happened to them...

Looks like a can of Tizer.

I honestly can't think what you see in Viduka. I know we all see our own players in a more favourable light, but when I see Viduka, I just see one of the most immobile strikers I've ever seen. His ability to get around the park is a disgrace tbph. He's a good footballer when he's got the ball and can make things happen but his reluctance to chase things boils my piss.
-
Agree with that unfortunately. Not questioning his effort but he just doesn't appear to be up to the standard required. If he was good enough then he'd be braying the manager's door down with his performances but he, sadly, looks like the next Kevin Kyle from what I've seen.

Looked better with Panasonic.

More realistic than playing another planet at football tbh. Another pointless unprovoked dig. Have you never heard of an analogy? Calm down man. Or, better still, have a dig back.

You making plans?? Yeah man, it's one of our few free weekends at the moment and the missus is well up for seeing a game. Was gonna text you actually, you going? Trying to figure out if it's worth buying the new away shirt to blag a free ticket, even though I don't really like it. If the tickets are about the same price or only a bit less then I may as well have a free shirt with mine, but if they're going to be quite a bit cheaper I'll do without. I'll have to wait and see tbh. The missus gets back from her working holiday on the Saturday but I think she may well be wiped out though. Would certainly fancy a pint and a quick catch-up if you're popping up though. Don't be bloody daft - get yourself out! I may catch up later in the day after a kip. In that case I'm good to go.
