Although it's only a 90 second snippet, if that was the norm, it goes some way to explain some of the shite I've seen this season.

I know what you mean. He was always just a busy,bustling centre forward who built his game around harassing defenders and making himself awkward to play against. He didn't have that 'class' (for want of a better word) about him. He was different to any striker that Fergie had on the books at the time though but the plan of sticking him in the middle of the park and doing what Keane did crashed and burned pretty quickly! I thought he'd do a decent job for us but that's gone to shit too.

That one in Le Tournai was ridiculous. When he started his run up you knew he was going to smash it but to bend it around the wall and back inside the post was just insane. Never seen a ball move as much in the air as that shot did.

Don't think Gerrard has been anywhere near his best this season personally. Not saying he's had a bad season but by his own high standards, he's underperformed imo.
