Is that a bite?
-
?? You serious?
-
Not sure where I stanza on this one like.

It's certainly a very very odd move to make. When it's your first week in your first big management job and people are waiting to see how you cope, it's a bit of a risk to say the least. It'll give anyone a bit sceptical about his lack of experience loads of ammo if it goes tits up.

Any need? Any at all TT? :-[

Some of the bickering going on atm is so fucking childish. *Aimed at no-one in particular and not just in this thread*

£2m is nothing to spend on a player these days. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Worth a gamble I suppose and let's give the lad a chance and judge him in a black and white shirt.
-
Got a funny feeling this will wake a few other clubs up and they'll end up missing out on him.
-
If he doesn't want to be here then he's best off out of the door. That applies to any player regardless of how much potential they've got. I'll be waiting for the 'I was misquoted' piece to follow though...
-
Why not just relegate them and give another club a crack at a higher division? It's leaving it a bit late too.
-
Dear me.

Plan A.
-
How would you play this situation if you were Man Utd, Parky?
-
He does need to be careful but I'm sure he'll only let them invest as much as will keep him in charge of decision making. What's the phrase I'm looking for? Controlling Interest?
-
Clubs don't own the player physically. The player is an employee but the clubs do own the licence/registration and therefore the player can't work for another club without the paperwork being transferred. I think that's pretty much how it works anyway!

If Ronaldo wasn't prepared to work for Man U for the next 5 years (or however long the contract was) then he shouldn't have signed the contract. He's already paid a massive amount of money every week to play for arguably the biggest club on the planet and should stop whining. I can understand him wanting to go to Real and try his luck there but it's up to the clubs to agree a fee first. If Real can't meet the asking price then Man U have every right to expect him to play as well as he can for them. I think he'll end up going in the end but I think there'll be an awful lot of piss and twisting for the next few weeks.

Did no-one else spot this? That's fantastic! Absolute plebs.

Scolari is has made a gaff by revealing his chat with Fat Frank...I think they're being silly trying to hang onto him, it's quite clear he wants to leave. Read yesterday that he's been 'negotiating' with Chelsea for 2 years about renewing his contract. If he wanted to stay he'd have signed a long time ago imo. He wants to finish his career there. Chelsea think that career is shorter than he does. He's after 5 years, they're offering 4. That's the only stalling point. He does want to stay at Chelsea. That's the only sticking point? Didn't know that tbh. Well, it's the main one. He's agreed the salary and he's said he wants to stay. He just wants a longer contract than Chelsea are offering. To be honest if I were him (if only ) I'd go to Italy and play for a couple of years. Well that's the thing isn't it? If he wants to stay at Chelsea that much he'll be prepared to compromise a little. Likewise, if Chelsea want him to stay they'll do the same and bend a little. The longer the stalemate goes on, the more it strengthens Lampard's position. He knows he can walk in a years time. Chelsea need him to sign soon or they'll kick him out for whatever they can get. A bit like Liverpool/Owen situation of a few years back.

Except for the bad publicity. He's got people talking about him. For entirely the wrong reasons, granted.
-
No such thing as bad publicity I suppose.
-
would probably have got a bite or two had there been one. I thought it was too obvious. Even for him.
-
Never mind. Worth a try I suppose.

I'd love to see his youtube compilation... *waits*
