No thanks. Finished as a player and not worth the hassle turning the club into more of a media circus imo. Should be looking to bring new players who actually have a future in the game.

Remember when he hoyed in a transfer request while he was still in his kit after Wigan's last game of the season? Bloke's a prick.
-
Dear me... Take this shite to PM's please lads.
-
Just thought you'd save your venom for when he's actually about to read it. Never mind.

Yeh, give me that total football with zero goal attempts anyday. Please do us all a favour and FUCK OFF. If you are gonna post on this forum at least contribute something decent. Theres posters on here from other clubs and most peeps are fine with them. You on the otherhand ... He logged out 2 hours ago...

Thought the full moon wasn't until Tuesday night...

You should have belted him, at least if you were both banned none of us would have to suffer the prick. People were just shaking their heads and laughing at him. The fact no-one reacted seemed to annoy him even more.

There was a bloke ranting away about Keegan at half-time today! Telling anyone who would listen that the football hadn't improved so Keegan should get sacked!! I shit you not.
-
The referee was shocking today like. I'm not saying we didn't win because of him, but he just got loads of decisions wrong. He booked a Bolton player despite not even seeing the incident! He followed play and was staring at the Strawberry corner when he heard the crowd, turned around and saw 2 players on the deck and assumed it must have been a booking! Disgraceful display.

No worries, it's cause someone else is after him. Keegan? Close to McKay...Lived in Scotland...Timing...Obviously a bigger club than Birmingham...obviously going to Villa I'm sure brummie would be made up to sign the Scottish Rooney instead of Defoe. No, no chance. He looks a bit like that bloke out of Robin Hood, I think. That's not a reason not to sign him. He's shit. That IS a reason not to sign him. Total confusion about Defoe. Very respected sources say he has had his medical blah blah blah, one very reliable one says MON doesn't want him and he hasn't been anywhere near the club. MON in transfer windows = fucking stressful. Leaves things nice and late before doing business iirc, doesn't he brummie?

I don't hate, genuinely hate, many people on this Earth but Oliver is right up there. The fucking odious little twat has NO redeeming features whatsoever.
-
Thought it was a sloppy challenge at the time but he deserved the red after seeing the replay in the pub afterwards. Could have done quite a bit of damage.
-
No discernable difference compared to any other part of the ground tbh.
-
Got some canny reservations about it but it couldn't get much worse.
-
Absolutely astonished! Never thought he'd have anything to do with the club again after the manner of his departure in 97.

Why are you telling us? This is a Newcastle forum. Well its more of a general football forum and NUFC forum. You are fairly new right? You missed the whole split boards/post moderation stuff I'll tell my dad (the soft southern gooner he is) that this is starting. Ta! Well it would be easier if there was a general football talk board and a Newcastle board. This is all a bit messy. But now you know what it's about, you needn't open the thread any more.

So basically £2m then....

So the Premiership has no fixtures in Jan or Feb? No FA Cup games either? Or am I wrong? Seven games rescheduled. Given that most could be placed into the weeks of existing international breaks, it is no big deal. Plus the 3rd, 4th and 5th round of the FA Cup, the semi finals and finals of the League Cup plus numerous knock out rounds of the Champions League and the Uefa Cup. No big deal really... When exactly would the season finish and start up again in Jamesworld?? You are exagerrating. ANC finishes on 10th of February. Let me knock up a Jamesworld fixture schedule for you if you give me a little time. It was the "England also moves January/February fixtures" bit that misled me... Take your time. Please.

Not at all. The thread is about whether or not clubs should sign African players in the knowledge that they will lose them to the ACN every other January. The thread can continue but I'm of the opinion that no matter how much one twists and whinges, the ACN in January are here to stay so they should be accepted and embraced. Nothing more.
-
You're getting far too upset over this. This is the way Africa have organised their football calender. No matter how much you twist and whine, they won't change it. Do you hear African football fans complain because the winter Premiership fixtures interfere with the build-up to the ACN? Thought not. Actually, yes, Laryea Kingston says in this months FourFourTwo Magazine that Ghana complained about Hearts schedule, so he had to tell them to shut the fuck up. And the Hearts fixtures were changed as a result of the complaint, yes? Or did they just ignore the complaints and play the games anyway? No, but FIFA got involved and the end result was that Kingston was forced to leave one week earlier than had initially been agreed. I still dont believe that the best compromise has been reached. In the end of the day, fixtures aren't up to the African FA or the leagues, its up to FIFA who can specify exactly when players must be released to their federations. That is why FIFA should step in, get everyone on the table, and see if they can find a compromise that suits all parties. The idea of a universal international break appeals to me to be honest. It suits the international teams, it suits the federations, and it suits the clubs, especiallyifan extended transfer window was thrown in. What compromise would you have suggested then? If you fully read my posts you would have a better idea. In summary (some suggestions I hadn't mentioned before): Two international windows per season when internationals take place, and no other international breaks Domestic leagues alter their calendars accordingly. The January transfer window gets extended until the end of the international window. Expand I understand the rest. Which leagues take a break and when?
-
And I'm just repeating my view you, I, or anyone else has a right to tell Africa to alter it's calender. It's none of our business. I'd be exactly the same if you complained about the laborious qualifying process of S. America for each World Cup. It's nothing to do with us as NUFC fans. We just have to get on with it.
