As far as I'm aware, Manchester United has already held a remembrance service on the actual 50th anniversary of the fateful day. They opened the stands and paid their respects to the people who lost their lives. Anyone who wanted to be there to share the moment has had ample opportunity to pay their own personal respects. .....but why on Earth do they need to hold another minute's silence? They've shown their respects and marked the anniversary earlier on in the week. Even the national team had a minute's 'silence' ffs. I'm not brushing it aside or disrespecting them but why do they feel the need to go through it all again?

We're not losing games because of negative media articles, negative fans, conspiracies, bad luck or anything else for that matter. We're losing games because we're nowhere near as good as some of us think we are. We're an average side with a handful of good players. The league table doesn't lie at this stage of the season and we're only slightly better than the real dross at the bottom end of the league. If people are looking to apportion blame, they need to look a bit closer to home imo.

That's fair enough. I just think his time has come and gone and it's time to move on and build for the World Cup in 2010 starting now. The fact he's on 99 is irrelevant to me. I'd be of the same opinion if he had 89, 59 or 129. I can see why people want him to get 100 but I just don't agree with them!

The only possible reason for calling him up would be to give him his 100th cap. Not a good enough reason imo. Other players who have a future should be called up before him.
