  1. You need to understand where you stand in the football pecking order, its several places below Wigan! The view of a fan from another small town club is hardly likely to be relevant. why ? i'll guess he sees west brom as being below wigan in the pecking order. The difference is West Brom would be behind Wigan in the pecking order even if both clubs were in the same league. i wouldn't think so.

He didn't keep it yesterday, he was constantly harried out of possession even against ten men. Don't know which game you were watching...probably the same one as Johnny who thinks Pancrate coming on as sub was our biggest problem. He did have a bad game yesterday. What does that prove? the point is it wasn't a one off.

  4. it proves that that the player has more say in this than just the club whose bid is accepted.
  5. he wouldn't be turning them down, he'd be talking to all. if man utd bid 1mill for him do you think he'd say "dearie me, i wont talk to them as they didn't meet the asking price" ? lol full circle. we cant talk to them coz we didnt meet the asking price. the only way we can talk to them is if 1 we up our bid 2 he turns down wigan (not gonna happen) how is it full circle as you know fine well he'd say i want to go to man utd even if they don't meet the price. accept their offer or i stay.

  7. to cut hughton a tiny bit of slack, he has little option given his choices in central midfield. yes we needed a right sided midfielder but our need for a central midfielder is as pressing.
  8. why MUST we ? i'd guess the lad just wants to get into the prem as soon as possible. because we wont be allowed to speak to him unless we do. unbelievable i know thats up to the player. if man utd offered 1million for him do you think he'd say "ah well only wigans offer has been accepted so i guess i'll go therer" no but Man Utd still wont be allowed to speak to him You don't seem to be up to speed on administration. If Moses refused to sign for Wigan, then the administrator would look at the next best offer on behalf of Palace & its creditors, this process would repeated until highest bid on the table & Moses find a match. The human element makes this tricky for a administrator to deal with as they usually operate in a world where best price is king. As I said above I really cant see Moses/Tony Finnegan turning down a offer that is going to be a hell of lot more than he is on now. The lads a Palace fan, as if he's going to totally screw his club by point blank refusing to talk to the only club who's had an offer accepted for him, only an utter c*** would f*** them up even further then they already have been. He'll choose between the clubs that have had offers accepted for him, Wigan are the only club that have so he'll go their, simple as that. more likely he'll choose the prem over the fizzy pop. As if its that clear cut.. seems like it. i've spelled out two or three times how easy it would be for him if he even wanted to hear what we had to say to him (assuming he doesn't already)

  12. if only it actually worked that way. please explain? i have done on the previous page. if the player wants to go elsewhere he just tells the admins that he wants to go elsewhere, if he doesn't get a chance to talk to them he will stay put and they get nowt. if the club are in a decent financial position and he has years left on his contract it wont work but they are desperate for cash and will take lose the extra half million or so as it is better than nothing.

Yes he could refuse to talk to any other club but its a bigger offer from Wigan a Prem club so he will talk to them. He is not going to hold out for us over them, but if we get a chamce to talk to him we may have a chance. So matching thier offer is the only way to stay in the race. come on man skirge...."he wouldn't be told about it" the bit about "he is not going to hold out for us over them" is spot on though and i bet his agent already knows exactly what we'd offer him.

Too slow to play on the wing, and he doesn't get up and down the pitch enough. I think that's why a lot of our players prefer to play in the middle, they can jog around in a smaller area and generally coast 90 mins. he's not too slow, he just has the movement and positional sense of the rest of our midffield. (ie, none)

I agree with this. Guthrie gets over-praised because the rest of our midfield is decrepit, but he's an ordinary player who lacks the drive or balls to dictate play. Far too easily dominated and will look even worse if we go up. guthrie gets praised because he was ok in his first few games and people are lothe to say that a player they've called good and want in the team is actually as poor as the rest. (its that favourites/scapegoats thing again)
  20. wrong again. if he says "i want to go to newcastle" then it is up the administrators to accept or decline that offer. if they decline then moses says "ok, i stay and you get nowt" like that would happen. ffs remember harry kewell ?
