Was looking at Rosenborg myself, you confident of them winning Kaizero, do thye have anything to play for? thats why i havent gone for them. have gone for stabaek though. Stabæk is risky, they're playing against a team who must win to avoid relegation. Those games are always scary even with one team much better on paper. i know it's risky but i thought it offered more value than rosenborg. it's in a treble with arsenal and red bull salzburg.

ooooh tell me more ?

i've seen rush, batistuta and lineker miss from 6yds in similar circunstances. it doesn't mean much. it's more a question of how many times do they get into that position and how many times they convert rather than missing one when they get there.
-
bit contradictory mind....you'd like to see harper play it out more while saying about most of the back playing out of position. when the defenders get the ball their job would be a lot easier if there were some sort of movement/options in front of them.
-
you lot do realise that when they say 'attack' what they'll probably mean is 'shouted at and verbally abused'. in which case it's probably true.
-
i think 2 hands round a throat would be a straight red anywhere.
-
Below the shoulders iirc depends. i'd say that was a red. punching someone in the stomach is below the shoulders.

He said never won not never played. sure ? oh well my bad....any reason to bring up frank clark is a good'un though. Yeah, just watched it back again he said they had never won against us. Too young to remember his goal as I wasn't born yet but my Dad was there and has told me about it, Doncaster wondering why everyone was going so mental when the 6th went in! 'wasn't born yet'...........what sort of shite excuse is that ?

I thought it was a shocking decision personally. But if we're relying on that c*** in green changing his mind then we may as well not bother. Thought the ref was atrocious all day and I'm sure he had this down as an away win on his coupon. Zurab grabbed him by the throat so will be a 3 match ban for Violent Conduct That's not what I saw like. Thats what i saw and i was there too Well done. We shall see when the FL highlights come on 'grabbed' and 'throat' are your key words, remember. are you going to debate the difference between 'neck' and 'throat' ?
-
according to the commentator donny had never played a competitive match up here................poor frank clark!

Why didnt the club bring everything out in their defence ? If Keegan had had players imposed on him prior to Gonzalez, surely the clubs legal team would have made certain that it was brought out at the tribunal ? who knows what the club brought in it's defence as we aren't going to find out thanks to the tribunal. even then when it comes down to it for the tribunal it doesn't matter. if keegan had his own way all through the summer (and i'm not saying he did), he had a player imposed on him and technically that was grounds for constructive dismissal. it doesn't tell anything about what was happening before hand.

I think we'll find out some time. i'm not sure if we will. what you'll get is one sided versions of events. in a court of law it's harder to lie and all the details could be reported on.

shit. i've got us in a treble with hartlepool and barnet. -
I think Keegan would have been less likely to go if he'd got players that he wanted before Gonzalez arrived. thats my point....what went on before , which we don't actually know has a massive bearing which isn't covered in the slightest by the case.
-
I think they must have had a bearing, my guess is that he didn't want rid of Milner and Gonzalez was the icing on the cake. so lets say he didn't want to get rid of milner but was tempted by schweinsteiger (as the rumour goes)........schweinsteiger agrees terms then pulls out, no fault on the player, manager or club. if he'd got schweinetc do you think he'd have walked over gonazalez ? don't you think all these questions grey what is seen by many as a black and white argumant as to the club not so much the technicalities of a managers contract ?
-
i've already read it mick.....the questions i've asked aren't answered in there. all it deals with is gonzalez and the structure. do you think the questions i've asked have a distinct bearing on what was happening that sunmmer.
-
Gonzalez was the "final straw" which implies that it possibly wasn't the first. so what were the others ? or was it the final straw as in lack of clarity in the structure was the other straws ? it's that whole "possibly" that gets me. the gonazalez thing was enough for him to win his case. does it tell us what was going on throughout that summer ? not to me it doesn't.

FourFourTwo did a great article on Barcelona's cantera a while back. It's incredible to think which players were moulded there beginning to get like ajax in the early 70's then again in the 80's and that french national academy.

That could easily be Souness trying to repair his reputation. If it was true than he should have said something at the time and we might have seen the back of him sooner. why would he, plenty of managers have put up with it.
-
Come off it you BNP sympathiser. Ashley was proven to be wrong in a court of law. Had he not f***ed around so much and had he been in the right he would not be paying KK's legal fees. If he could go for a couple of seconds without being such a MASSIVE c*** he probably wouldn't have lost the club so much money. Outrageous you could claim otherwise you ashleyette. it wasn't a court of law...i wish it had been. everything would have came to light.
-
The rest obviously had no bearing on the case, the panel said as much. I would have been interested to know about other deals but it wasn't necessary. I doubt it wasn't the only deal done behind Keegans back as it was described as the final straw, or something like that. it doesn't have a bearing on the case but it has a massive bearing on what was happening at the club. basically the case would rest on one instance of the manager being overuled on a signing.(like robson, hughes, benitez, and mourinho all have been)

Souness spent almost £50 million and didn't complain once while he was here. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-508045/Souness-sounds-warning-man-dares-Geordies.html
