  1. surely if any of that was true keegan has got the timing very wrong?
  2. and selling milner for that much
  3. All this over Joey barton. that lad is trouble, i tells ya the lad better play like Maradona from now on to repay KK`s faith in him.....erm...well...... what`s the longest thread we`ve had on this forum? Is it this one now? The Luque one? a marathon cos it could run and run but also a sprint as it's over 100 pages in 24hrs.
  4. Like what? Appointing Dennis Wise to find young talent for a start, what the f*** would he know about that? Also the fact we've got two managers within the same club, clueless. Having other people choose which players we are signing, you can say if he had a problem with that why didn't he go straight away, well he obviously did have a problem with it and the fact we didn't get the amount of players we needed was the final straw, what other explanation do you have for him resigning? 2 managers eh ? keegan said he had the final say on all comings and goings He admitted before the Man U he doesn't, how can he have the final say when he's never even seen them play? Do you think he would seriously sell Milner without a guaranteed replacement? Considering he said that money wasn't an issue whether he stayed or went. Just because you haven't seen them play doesn't mean you can't have the final say, it just means you're putting your faith into someone else's judgement. Look at the South Americans that came in under Sir Bobby, most of those came in on the recommendation of Mick Wadsworth I think it was. Well that's pointless then isn't it? Keegan's opinion means nothing, what's the point in him saying let's buy him when he hasn't even seen what he's buying, you may aswell let them choose. pretty sure benitez wont have been to brazil to see that lad they signed on a free and if keegan didn't want coloccini or jonas you have to ask if he's up to the job. He hasn't seen them play before so he wouldn't know any different, just seems that Keegan's view is pretty academic when these guys scouting the players know a vast amount more than KK does. you're not building up keegans case here.
  5. yes and no. if they hadbn't got him back after his origianl walk out would we have became what we are today (a respected prem club not continuing circus)
  6. I feel you. While everyone was tlaking about challenging the top 6 straight away, I was just looking most forward to watching Keegan type footie, some new exciting signings and no more threat of relegation or speculation and drama regarding the club. Oh well ... you don't get it do you. it's newcastle united. thats how we do things. from jackie milburn getting dropped for a cup final and the other players threatening to go on strike to george eastham to dinnis era player power to "sack the board" to shepherd and the dogs to today. NUFC is an unruly law unto itself, she was once a lover and is now a very good friend, we'll be together till the end no matter what.

  8. translation...keegans lawyers have told him his constructive dismissal idea has no chance.
  9. it's like the circus has decided to stay for the summer instead of just a fortnight.
  10. Too early to tell for sure, but Wise, Vitere and Jiminez have been doing pretty well so far on the recruitment front (both bairns and first team). The signings have been fantastic but you can't be telling me we couldn't have found a top scout to work with Vetere and Jimenez? Dennis Wise? What has he done to make them think... "Well Dennis Wise would be perfect to help progress the youth recruitment" Baffling. recent engalnd international who'll kids'll still probably remember trying to talk kids into coming to newcastle as iopposed to david mills maybe ?
  11. only till folk get used to it.once they are used to it the kneejerking at the medias behest will stop.
  12. i take your point but "gullem balague said" scares the life out of me and juande ramos i still think will be back in spain before long. begs a good question though....who next ?
  13. Chris Mort was good at it. He gave a face to the day to day boardroom operations at SJP, and provided reassurance when needed. Now he's gone, we are left with a bunch of faceless mute cretins. yet said nowt. i'd rather silence than someone speaking for 10mins without actually saying anything. You've forgotten the period between Allardyce and Keegan. Mort did a really good job as the link between club and fans. no. he answered little. i much prefer it if someone talks they say something. i'd prefer silence backed by deeds.

  16. i'd rather they said nowt than talked "without giving too much away".
  17. why ? when you know not what they do
  18. Throwing his toys out of the pram yes.But is it for good of the club?I would say yes, would you prefer for our manager not to be bothered that we didnt get enough talent in for the coming season There are ways of going about that that doesn't involve storming out and the fans not knowing if you've quit or not. Thats a fair point but I reckon hes gone off to cool off for a bit. not getting the talent ? in may if you'd ask on here if people would/ve been happy with coloccini,an argentine international winger, spanish under 21 forward, uraguayan international midfielder, french under 21 defender as cover and dsanny guthrie. most would have said it was ok and there'd be no tears aswell as milner bringing in upowards of 10mill. it hasn't been a bad window, not brilliant but not bad.

We had Kenny Wharton, Joe Joyce running the Academy, we would lose our Academy status if we had nee fucker running the gig. One full time scout, the club has always had stacks of part time bods all over the region & eyes in the uk. Maybe not as strong abroad though. The idea & concept looks great but as we saw with Spurs last year Commoli signing players for positions Jol didnt want players for was bonkers. I do like Monchi at Seville as a DOF the fella works with with coach in making the signings. As Wegner says the day Arsenal appoint DOF will be the day before he quits. Head strong & manager with big ego's are never going to work with DOF because they will back themselves to be the person with the best eye for good footballers Link? Because last I heard he was actively looking for one. Nicky Hammond was a rumored target but the DOF works for him a bit like Gordon Milne worked for Bobby Robson. The manager is still the main man. Baggio you know me I aint going to make it up man, if you still want link I try & find it but ffs man. well do yoy know what wise's job actually entails ? bearing in mind keegan always said he had the final say in everything
  20. what about keegans if it turns out to be his fault ? Come on then sparky, let your imagination run wild and make up a scenario where it could be Keegan's fault. keegan says to ashley "i wanted lots more to spend in the market, i want to compete with chelsea in the market, if you don't give me it i;m off"
  21. " Keegan and Ashley clashed in a heated exchange over a number of issues which have been coming to a head for several weeks, with Keegan unable any longer to suppress his anger and frustration. He was upset that the entire squad was put up for sale on Monday as the transfer window closed and that two more players, Xisco and Nacho Gonzalez, were signed without his knowledge. Keegan was also disturbed by the plan to sell Joey Barton behind his back." What the f*** are they on about Apparently, the 'rumour' is that when Keegan went in for talks with Ashley yesterday, they held heated discussions and Ashley came out with the above statement, saying that noone was guarenteed to stay - if the offer was good enough, the player was out the door. isn't that true of every player everywhere
  22. what about keegans if it turns out to be his fault ?

Do you honestly think people are going to rally round the current regime? Dream on. Some things are a step too far and seeing Dennis Wise as "the face" of Newcastle United is one of those things for me and a lot of other people. I've been as cynical as anyone about Ashley's motives, but if they pull the rabbit out of the hat and get KK to stay, I'll be bloody delighted with them for doing so. My point anyway was that why single out Wise in all this ? It's the whole recruitment team that f***ed up iyam. It's pretty clear that KK wasn't happy with the hand dealt to him but that wasn't the sole fault of Dennis Wise. Undoubtedly theres a familiarity breeds contempt angle on picking on Wise and I have no problem condemning the whole setup - it mght work on the continent but I don't think it works in the UK, especially in Newcastle, and extra especially with KK as manager. yet for all he had a title we don't actually know what he actually does so i can't see how we can say his role doesn't work. he just always seemed like a chief scout who done a bit negotiating while leaving most of the negotiating to jiminez.
  24. "will you" you ask as if i have a choice.

not really that arrogant to think your banging partner will answer the phone when she one of the receptionists and then to ask what shes doing is actually quite considerate. he even used a little pet name. how cute. arrogance is "hello. don't care if thats jools or not. YOU are sucking me off tonight"
