  1. Nowts stuck to Nickband hes a yard behind where he needs to be when a ball comes in.
  2. I think Willock is likely away before Joe. Could well be Willock in Jan, Joe in the Summer.
  3. 2-1 defeat I think. 92/93. Slap bang in the middle about 20yds, Johnny Metgod style.
  4. Mainly Liverpool plastics in my day. Condescention was my weapon of choice. Ignored their allegiance and just went to town on their plasticity.
  5. Its often all we've had. I dont mean that from a footballing perspective

    Dogawful Officiating

Why did I read that in Gene Hunt's voice ?
  7. They did and didnt. Clough playing of them made them like that. Lloyd, Burns, Clark, McGovern (79 V Malmo team) were players seemed either past it or no one else really wanted. Throw in the likes of Bowyer, Robertson, even Withe from the title winning team. They done nothing new tactically he just drilled them at their jobs, he got them great at the basics.
  8. Ill throw another slant on it, earlier in the season we looked disjointed through having one forward who we were getting used to as they were getting used to the prem added to both first choice full backs being out. Now we are less disjointed but need to manage things better, maybe needing a formation/tactic change as games go on as the gaps we've left through the middle in the last 10 or 15 if games have been huge and put tge defence under more pressure than needs be. If we insist on 433 we may need to go 442/451 towards the end of games.
  9. On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me A twat playing shite And a cunt with a broken leg.
  10. Nah. Paddington's not there.
  11. They are for a time as they "step up" but if a player suffers an ACL for example is he more likely to suffer a dislocated shoulder than a player free of injury a year later ?
  12. Do our medical team know if hes injury prone or just been unlucky with injuries ? There is a difference.
  13. Me kind of. I dont think his midfield performances had been enough to say that he should be starting XI, bit too passive, bit too safe. This couple of games at RB seem to have done him a world of good
  14. He played through some shite as well. I remember him being our MotM when Liverpool put 5 past us at SJP. He left because we were shut and getting worse.
  15. He was, thats why he didnt even try, he just cleared his lines. Less panic.
  16. Less of an organised press but keepers getting pressured with the ball at their feet ? Yes. And thats why they didnt do it much. (Pav liked to knock it about a little and take a man on ....... had us shitting ourselves !) Is Pope heavily involved in our build up play ?

    Nick Woltemade

Could some of it be because not only is he fitter but he's now being told (as Isak was), give it both burners and we can sub ypu when you're done instead of trying to nurse him through 90mins as we have nothing on the bench.
  18. Hes the best striker but also one of the least adaptable players in the league.
  19. He wasn't great with his feet but was there audible anxiety when he had the ball at his feet like Pope ?, he didnt try, he just got decent air under it. Did opposition teams see pressuring him when he has the ball at his feet as a tactic like they do with Pope ? When I said "to feet" I meant diving at attackers feet to get the ball.
