I'd love to sell you a car or a house.

Have you seen the way teams defend now ? They can double up on a player and still be able to double up at the other side of the pitch because the ball doesn't get there instantly. Teams double up on him so much because his decision making is often poor as is his execution. Big season for him, he has the raw talent...... has he the temperament to make the most of those talents ?
-
Rumour has it they turned down 20mill Euro from Spurs a week or so back.
-
Fair point I suppose.
-
It's because we are being treated even more differently than the Chelseas of this world, add in players may be reticent to come until we are closer to the finished article. Selling clubs are trying us out to see how desperate we'll get. We know we'll pay a premium but only up to so far.
-
To complete the food shopping analogy, it's like going to the shop and asking how much a tin of beans is and them saying £1 to most people, £10 to a few and £20 to you.
-
We aren't, as proved with Botman and Ekitike we are bidding more, probably more than their actual worth, but because its us they are trying to have our eyes out and I'm quite happy the club are saying get stuffed as there will come a point when selling clubs realise we'll move on and best take the offer when it's there.

Apparently Chelsea owed him 1.5billion but that would be paying a debt back to himself. Wonder if the rules have changed since then ? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10368571/Chelseas-debt-Roman-Abramovich-passes-1-5BILLION-wage-bill-higher-Man-Un And as you say an inflated sale price to cover it. All very murky and bet the other 80 odd clu s in the league outside of that chosen few wouldn't have gotten away with it.
-
And how have they got no debt ?
-
Harrison tore Trippier a new one in the first half iirc.
-
Skirmish Propsals sounds like a shit B side.
-
Or a pre first bid ?
-
They'll turn down 30mill from us then sell to Liverpool for 20mill.
-
For the latter question, possibly because he's a low level agent and he can't keep his gob shut about working on a deal with a 'big' club worth millions. I can picture him sat in that restaurant striking up loads if random conversations in order to slip in why he's there. Del Trotter style.
-
Really don't think fans asking will help any move.
-
Yesterday fish and chip papers.
-
Could they not want Harrison to play on the left ? Apparently he can play either side and the Leeds fan I know reckons he's better left sided but no Raphinha. Not sure what they've bought with the Philips/Raphinha money.
-
I think someone listened to the tifo thing about stepping stone players and he has a point. Harrison would possibly be a player for a season or two, an upgrade on what we ha e but probably not for where we want to end up and with a decent resale value.
-
Never heard of him until this morning but a quick YT scout about shows him a bit similar to Ekitike, tall and rangy and likes the ball at his feet for a big lad. Very raw but lots to build on.
-
Kind of makes you wonder how we finished above them ?
-
Only Uni in UK to award him a doctorate iirc.
-
Think of it man, they went from "well be playing them next season" to "we'll quite probably not be on an equal footing with them in my lifetime" within the space of a few weeks.
-
I renewed for the past 5 or more yrs cos I was on a deal, I think this was the last year of the original 10yr deal. Fuck.....is it me?
-
My comeback game after a year or so working Saturdays.
-
Could that be because of the way we've played in his time here as in "you stay up there while we defend, when we get it we'll lump it up to you or Alain in the hope you magic something up" The stats are important but they don't tell the whole story.
