I don't know what people expect of the line-up. He's working with a poor squad. He's working with the best squad in this division.

loathe Mourinho but Keane should be ashamed of himself there Why ? Keanes showed himself up talking crap plenty of times but he's spot on here. Man who can't manage either a football team or his own emotions going to town on one of the most successful managers in the modern game. Urgh. Mourinho can't manage his emotions (see eye gouging etc) and would he have done as well at Sunderland ? Give keane a premier team and the ability to blow most out the water financially and we'll talk. I'm not a mourinho fan.

£26 according to .com. http://www.nufc.com/html/2009-10html/2009-12-26sheff-wed-a.html What were the prices against others ? Having a flick through the reports on .com they seemed to be mostly between £20-£30. I was sure they had a reputation for ramping up prices for certain games, probably wrong.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

expecting a win tomorrow isn't being overly confident, we're going for our 14th away win so we have form. and away from the stats most of our better performances have been away from home aswell. -
Tonight made a refreshing change on the accy front. Usually 1 result lets me down, hell man through the week Blackburns 95th minute equaliser knocked out a 4-timer, but tonight all 3 of a treble went down. Huddersfield, Sheff weds and Dortmund -1.

Would you take a draw?

Is that true ? However only was any good (townsend), one I'd have given time (Wijnaldum), Two I'd like to have been given more of a chance for me to see for myself (Saivet and Thauvin), the rest, meh!

I think you can highlight their strengths, even in different positions. Yeah but it''s awkward, Gazza had a physical strength to play that role, Beardsley had the speed of foot to do what Gazza couldn't up front, their strengths were different because their roles were different. One thing they had in comon, they could both DOMINATE a game.
-
Gazza was a central midfielder, Beardsley was an attacking midfielder/forward, can't really compare them in that way.

kin'ell, was it in black and white, were there Zepplins overhead, was the keeper smoking a pipe ? That's the recent past man! (for some of us )

Didn't the Arsenal fans give him dogs abuse throughout the game ? I know he has a t*** to them and the fans were right to have a go at him and he had just as much right to rub their face in it after scoring. Casual racism throughout no? No idea, just remember the whistles and booing when he got the ball.
-
Tony Green was a central midfielder, he was such a waste of talent like far too many players in those days who had their careers ended early for injuries which we now see players coming back from. All the fleeting clips I saw were of him running at players like a winger and probably that Man utd clip where he's in a wingerish position made me think winger....and his build man, like a wet spelk,

Yeah that's the out of town thing which was never really on the agenda, where talking Castle Leazes, the dog bog at the top of Barrack road.
-
Just watching extended highlights from the Man Utd win in '72 (seen the goals but never 40mins worth of the game) and, needing mick's help here, I always had Green down as a wingerbut he's in the middle for the most part with Tommy Gibb, Barrowclough one side, Hibbitt the other ?
-
Maybe it's not a long bench ?

One of the worst parts of social media is the distortion of 'left' and 'right' that it has created now all those gobshites effectively 'have a voice' and shriek hysterically about what is 'liberal' and what is 'fascist/right wing/bigoted'. Don't bother with any form of SM now, you waste your life reading stupid things from stupid people. Sado Masochism ?

Happens locally aswell. You get used to pronouncing Ovingham and Bellingham with a "j" but then you pronounce the "l" in Alnmouth and the River Aln.............but then Alnwick

I lived down there for a few years and travelled to a lot of our games by train and became really friendly with Birmingham fans and had some really good times with them. I found them all to be sound and never had any problem with any of them, that said, I never went to a game where we played each other at that time. Last time I was there was the Kevin Brock in goal and Stan Seymour RIP game and their fans were horrible. Almost Scouse levels of twattery. They had a reputation back then like.

Nobody ever says Inter Milano. Have heard plenty Paree San Germain tbf to Madras. Might have even used myself in the past. 'Inter' and 'Milan' is the correct way. The main one for confusion I'm told is Bayern Munich, it should be Bavaria Munich or Bayern Munchen, is that true ?

Well you're the first if true. Show your working. Just when yo hear people talking, it stands out a bit. Roma, Torino etc were good examples aswell that I just couldn't think of aswell at the time. Seville last night set me off.
