Exactly, they've been screaming for the heads of the last two managers and the same will happen with this one. In fact, i'm pretty sure before MON left they had enough of Short as well (on RTG anyway). Not seeing what Short has achieved with the Mackems to get such high praise from Unbelievable. We've finished above them the last two years, club is in better shape financially, squad is better, we fill our stadium due to good ticket deals. And this is with all with f***ing Mike Ashley in charge ffs. he hasn't. he has however thrown a lot of money into transfers (his or the clubs i don't know) which many want us too.

they were poor aswell. had most of the possession never looked comfortable with it and created very little. grasshoppers nearly scored from the half way line.
-
as regards the contract when he was inside ,aye, as for the rest it's joeys spin, the players committee and bonus sheet stuff being particularly laughable.
-
School holidays. accounts for midds stopping up late.
-
think he'll be like ashley, he'll get nowhere near what he's put in so willtry to run the club on what it brings in in the hope the price picks up.
-
Man City's and Chelsea's are even worse. We better tell them that next year's Premiership table will be based on accounts posted, not points gained on the football pitch. depends if you think short is prepared to make those debts year on year like abramovic or if he's going to draw a line at some point.
-
I'm sure he will, just as soon as someone offers him best part of a quarter of a billion pounds.

Typical big club bias TBH. Always pick the glamour ties. Funny they had a camera there to film Cisse getting off the bus, but not the match. must be on football first then.
-
wonder if nikos had anything to do with that ?
-
team in black and white stripes getting humped ? (assuming they still play in that and they are wearing it tonight)

8 down 4 across man, you 9 down 3 across 9 down 5 across.

i thought it was a squad list.

Based on nothing but the Swiss being wealthy I'm assuming Basel don't 'need to sell' to keep going so I'd imagine that players don't go for a song like other leagues. basel don't need to sell to keep going, other swiss teams have had bad money troubles though, neuchatel xamax are no more as a professional team, bellinzona look to be going a simialr way.

we couldn't handle the truth.

It's not against the rules at all, if the player's team has given him permission to talk to the interested club. Has Gomis been given permission though? i haven't heard anything to suggest he has. Its just the usual talk to agents and agree with them and then get a deal done as far as i'm aware. with OL saying it's a problem with wages and aren't complaining of tapping up I'd say it's safe to assume he'd been given permission.
-
no it's not if the club agrees to it, which they may if they think they'll reach agreement over the fee.
-
no it isn't, it's often done.
-
as are most of the other players, bit hard not to really.
-
I wonder if OL originally quote an original price which we met (or were close to) then they come in with the bonuses thing which just bumps the price up ? similar to debuchy last season.
-
much more encouraging if they acted on it rather than spoke about it (and tbf there were signs towards the back end of last season thet we tried to "play" a bit more)
-
you'd think they would both blame NUFC then.
-
tbf the movement throughout the entire team has been poor for years now.

I f***ing hate Pardew. no problem with it if it's not overly rigid. both he and ben arfa can drift inside, push on, drop deep, could even be more of a 4-2-2-2, my worry being ben arfa's movement off the ball being poor and you need that movement to stretch the opposition and create gaps for others. (the movement thing could for for sissoko aswell but i'll give him the benfit of the doubt for the time being and put it down to adjsuting to a new league)

steve carneys obituary is in todays independent if anyone's interested. seems a bit late like. shares the same page as athlete todd bennett for those that remember athletics from the 80's. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/steve-carney-obituary-newcastle-united-stalwart-of-the-1980s-8734581.html
