  1. Aye, he said it on Radio Newcastle after the match. 'We might see some of him on Wednesday night' roughly what he said. We need to see all of him on Wednesday - toes, ankles, knees, cock, balls, torso and head. All of him.
  2. I thought Best and his work rate were really important to us today. We looked much worse when we brought Shola on and couldn't press from the front as much.
  3. He picks the wrong option every single fucking time. I've never seen a player with such a poor footballing brain. You'd think that he'd use his pace to power into the box, instead he spends his entire time skirting around it trying to put in a cross. Shame he can't cross.
  4. We wouldn't have lost the game in years gone by, I don't think Swansea had a shot all game. Not on target they didn't. Had a dangerous chance that Sinclair put wide. Other than that, Krul made ONE catch from a corner, and that was it And what a catch
  5. Looks a class player. Pardew starts Raylor over him on Wednesday and my palm will meet my face.
  6. Pardew has made a rod for his own back with his "he's a number 10" talk. I don't doubt that given a proper run that'll be his best position but having him on the bench does nowt for him or the team. He'd be a much better option that Obertan, who offers zilch and I can only assume is in for his pace and willingness to track back (forgetting the fact he bottles tackles that are 70-30 in his favour), and it would get him up to full fitness. AP needs too get a handle on the situation as soon as possible or it's going to overshadow the other he's doing. Start him against WBA, up front or on the wing, it doesn't matter. We need his spark especially without Cabaye.
  7. We're trying to sign Zaha according to the back page of the Mail.
  8. We're trying to sign Zaha according to the back page of the Mail. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2075287/Newcastle-want-Wilfried-Zaha-10m.html £10 million? Sounds like bollocks to me.
  9. http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/55567000/jpg/_55567601_new_v_bla_ba.jpg What a fucking legend.
  10. Seems a bit weird. His agent and doctors are hardly going to say "he's fucked". I get the feeling it could be something contentious like a heart issue. Something similar to Remy's at Marseille? Seems to be a lot of grey area with regards to defects and fitness.
  11. Thankfully he signed a new deal earlier this season.
  12. Why not? He's been playing since he went on strike anyway. Was that not simply a case of needs must? Bit different when you're 99% sure he's going to be someone else's problem in a few months, and you have a price agreed etc. From what I remember he acted like a bit of a prick. Could well be and aye he did. Any player who goes on strike needs to having a fucking look at themselves. Cunts to a man (unless the club are witholding their wage) I don't think striking is as petulant as some make out. Lets be fair it's not like any other job. Of course you get paid utterly obscene amounts of cash but you don't have the freedom of movement that you would in another profession and your career is relatively short. If I was somewhere I really didn't want to be and I had the opportunity to go elsewhere, whether it be for more money or to further myself professionally, the club said no and I had another 3 or 4 years on my contract I'd strike as a very last resort. That said I don't think Maiga was particularly justified in his actions, unlike HBA. We'd had a bid accept and turned down and as far as I'm aware MM's relationship with Sochaux was pretty healthy until that point. Ben Arfa had more or less been told to fuck off by Deschamp, who then changed his mind when his new player had a dicky heart.
  13. I've seen neither, but I prefer Giroud due to his rugged, Cabaye-esque good looks.
  14. Appears Mike Ashley is our club doctor as well Amazing scenes. He was shit at the start of this week, now you'd think we'd missed out on Messi
  15. Maybe this is just another strand of Mike Ashley's plot to become the most evil man in the world? Unsettle Maiga, upset Sochaux and then reveal at the last minute we had no intention of signing him. The result? A player who has burnt all his bridges at a club that can't sell him. Tremendous japes.
  16. There are direct quotes from his agent tbf. I know but in a French report, could be any kind of mis-report or inaccurate story. And as we see with our papers and news channels, they quote all sorts that turn out to be made up rubbish, i just think its too soon to over react. The French press have a cracking success rate when talking about our transfer dealings. Ermmm not really, if we had signed every player that has been linked with us by their papers/news outlets we would have signed dozens by now. You really don't want this to be true, do you son?

  18. See, this is what will happen now. We've waited a year and a half for a new striker but now they've got a ready made excuse not to get once since we're even more desperate elsewhere. We should be buying a striker and defenders, ffs. We still might be, man. Calm down, it's not even January yet True, excuse me for being cynical about this though. It's not like we've already spent one entire transfer window floundering about and ending up with nowt. This one seemed to be in the pipeline for months and was likely because the player was forcing it through, if we don't already have a backup in motion then do you have faith in us opening up negotiations for somebody else and getting it done? Yes and no. I don't think the club will sit on their hands but we wont pay over the odds. I don't know, but maybe the fact he was over here getting a medical so early was an indication the club new he had an issue and wanted to check it so they could move for other targets if he failed his medical? After all we have been watching Olivier Giroud since early in the season despite the fact the Maiga deal has apparently been done and dusted for months. Then again maybe this is just us playing funny buggers trying to knock a few million off the price.
  19. They were all free transfers. Sochaux want £7m for Maiga. Much bigger risk if there is an injury concern. Good point aye. Hopefully we can move on to Giroud or whoever. Badly need someone in. The fact Lovenkrands is still getting game time is hideous. I'd be very surprised if we didn't move for someone else but the fact it's January and we're going to have to pay more than the going rate is going to turn any deal into a painful bloody experience.
