  1. It's enough to make the poor cunt who has just shelled out close to £400 on their season ticket go a bit Budd Dwyer.
  2. No, they don't. They did the same last year, Geremi 'won' it. It was actually quite funny then but it's a bit daft when we're not actually doing poorly
  3. Black and white probably need swapping. I'm sure theregulars said the arms were black.
  4. Doubt it, i would imagine we would have ours designed individually like Spurs. It seems to fit with what theregulars has described.
  5. http://www.ccfc.co.uk/javaImages/8b/df/0,,10269~8773515,00.jpg Cov's away kit. I imagine our home one will have the same design.
  6. Those are the key positions for me too. He was on the money in January so I have faith he'll try to do similar this summer.
  7. Chris Packham will be doing his nut
  8. Looked very good tonight. Seemed to pick up a knock in the first half but soldiered on.
  9. Fair play to Plymouth. Great stuff. I thought I'd cringe when I saw the invasion but all I could think was "Christ, I want to be in the middle of that"
  10. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8629390.stm whos going to present motd2 then? The lads from the Football Ramble
  11. The club sent an email out to fans asking them to turn up on Thursday for publicity shots.
  12. We wont see it until late this week/early next. Thursday is the photo call for the launch images.
  13. But there is little or no evidence to support this, even the Taylor Report dismisses it. The stand wasn't even at capacity come kick off.
  14. Identify the ticketless "supporters" who forced their way into the ground causing the crush, bang them up and you have your justice then these scousers can finally shut up about it. Thought the Taylor report quashed that myth honks ago.... It did, it just fits into the whole narrative that Liverpool fans were to blame so it still gets peddled.
  15. Surely there's a point when it's just a mad Geordie abusing animals?
  16. It's unmitigated bollocks of the most ridiculous degree. I got as far as the Weshy slagging and I had to stop reading because I didn't know whether to be annoyed or chortle at the fact they actually believe the stuff they're writing I'm from Washington and I can say with my hand on my heart I have never been confronted about my accent or had to ham it up when in the presence of card acrrying Novocastrians. The same goes for numerous other season ticket holders from my neck of the woods. Given the fact Newcastle is the most cosmipolitan place in the North East, with a huge population of students and workers who have made the city their home I'd be very surprised if an unfamiliar accent was enough to get you twatted nowadays (unless you drink in the Adelphi, obv). That thread is a brilliant work of fiction mind
  17. There's a basic difference. Munich was a tragic accident, whereas Hillsborough was the result - in the main - of criminal negligence by the police and authorities which nobody has answered for. And for those people happy to blame it on Liverpool fans alone, many older heads will tell you it VERY nearly happened to us at Hillsborough on Boxing Day 1985. Yes but the difference being it didn't happen and has never happened at any of the other semi finals played at Hillsborough. To my mind it was a tragic accident caused by a catalogue of events, either foreseeable or unforseeable, but all unexpectedly culminating in the late arrival of fans which meant the police eventually advised that the gates be opened to let the late arrivals in, and the ticketless fans saw their opportunity to get in. I have been in the Leppings lane end a couple of times and the NUFC fans going through the tunnel simply pushed the people on the terraces forward so they could get on to the terraces. No one made the NUFC fans push other than those behind them also with the same desperate desire to get the very best vantage point from which to watch the game. I would be very surprised to find the Liverpool fans did not do the same given their late arrival, and of course the ticketless fans meant more got in than the enclosure was designed to hold. No one can provide a convincing argument that this would not have happened if the Liverpool fans had quietly queued to get in rather than panicking because they were missing the start of the game. A controversial view I know, but I just can't shake it off. It's not controversial, just very naive. You're basically saying Liverpool supporters are to blame for acting like football supporters. Fact of the matter is South Yorkshire police both inside and outside the ground were murderously negligent. The crush started at approximately half 2 and was only dealt with at 3:06pm and for the vast majority of that time the police on the ground and in the control station were aware that something wasn't quite right. I have never heard any explanation as to why the game wasn't delayed, the pens either side of the stand weren't opened earlier or why the police weren't on hand to channel supporters to other areas of the Leppings Lane End as they would have been for any other match. As for the ticketless fans there's no point in even discussing it. That myth was punctured a long, long time ago.
  18. Get rid, bring in someone with Premier League pedigree. He's done nowt wrong but we need another top flight level centre back.

This. 96 supporters went to a football match and never came back. No one has ever been held to account for it.
  20. Regularly make up bullshit about us wrecking stuff as well, some guy started a thread when we got promoted saying that the metros were off and he'd heard it was because we were rioting, when it was actually because some old fella fell under a metro. Great craic that thread "The Quayside webcam is down! It must be because they're wrecking the place! It's a conspiracy!"
  21. Nice to see the Mackems conducting themselves with a modicum of dignity http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=486557
