Can they really say they've had 80 applicants and the best one was John Carver?

I love the Professor Layton style title.

The poll on fan confidence after his interview doesn't make good reading for him.

Andy Carroll has now scored as many for West Ham as he did for us

His brother on the BBC News channel saying he wasn't worried that all the BNP membership details had been leaked, just as his mobile and house phone started constantly ringing in the background was funny

One of the best he's ever played under http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/9272123.stm Remember him calling for Pochettino's head due to a slump in form in one breath, and then being baffled as to why we were playing so badly in the match he was covering in the next.

Oh yeah, this is dodgy as fuck Mike Ashley buys back USC - his own store in complex administration deal http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-2913857/Mike-Ashley-buys-USC-store-complex-administration-deal.html

"Sports Direct's Mike Ashley close's Scottish warehouse and axes over 200 jobs, gives no notice and refuses to pay wages." https://audioboom.com/boos/2803811-axed-usc-staff-talk-to-our-reporter-fiona-simpson-about-their-situation?utm_campaign=detailpage&utm_content=retweet&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook Not entirely sure of the moral and legal logistics of it all, USC went into administration and Republic (owned by Ashley/SD) bought them out of it, so the job losses are rooted in USC's problems rather than the actions of SD. From the sounds of it, the staff aren't happy with the way they've handled it though.

Well he's already demonstrated he'll do stuff for money with little to no shame, just put him in there as a pretty face and a puppet to deflect pressure away from Blatter, who can continue to be the Karl Rove to Ginola's George Bush.

Jellus marra Once again, they have set the transfer window alight. Well, windows makes a change from portholes.

Would be massively underwhelming and unapologetically unambitious. Seeing as those words are pretty much inscribed in latin under our crest, that makes him a pretty likely appointment.

Pissing me off man trading one knacker for another Lee Ryder and the rest of them in the local media are just utter bunch of cunts - how anyone with anyone can seriously suggest appointing Carver as the best possibility for the club demonstrates a total lack of knowledge on football (though in Ryder's case we already knew this). It's not the best for the club, but it's best for the Chronicle - Carver's given them three stories worth of quotes just today and he'll always be willing to meet Ryder in the Newcastle Arms and give him some shit to put on the back page. Compare to someone like Garde "Remi! Rems! Remi! It's Lee, how are you preparing for the Villa game?" "Qui?"

John Carver saw disaster coming for Newcastle with Graeme Souness - he doesn't want a repeat http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/john-carver-saw-disaster-coming-8456308 It's fucking relentless like.

What the fuck does this even mean? I'm sure they'll confirm who they've given the job to.

How much of the "He's served his time" is actually "I don't think what he did was rape in the first place"? Like if he'd just jumped on some sober woman in an alley walking back from midnight mass, held her down and raped her, would people still be fine with him playing for their club or in their league as soon as he was out on license?

Yeah, more like NUFC lowerarchy.
