  1. So he's been manager the entire close season, picking up his pay cheque, then as soon as the season starts "Actually, you know what... Nah..."
  2. agreed - breaks up the "big 4" and that will put real pressure on someone's budget for 2011-12 also gets right up the nose of Manure fans Expect lots of s*** from the Man U loving media about them 'buying the league' as if Man U bought Ferdinand for 30,000,0000 magic beans. still a big difference! How so? Man United loved the football free market when it allowed them to build up (albeit more slowly) a team made of some of the best players in the world thanks to their financial clout in both the wage and transfer market. When Chelsea and Man City come along and throw more cash about, they can hardly cry foul, it's the same system that kept them at the top for so long. The days of Derby or someone working their way up from the lower teirs with a good manager, shrewd transfer work and team spirit and a little bit of ambitious investment to challenge for the title have been gone for decades. It's 90% money, be it Man U's old money or Man City's new money.

  4. Man, look at that. A bunch of fans just happy with football and the opposition for a change, looking forward to a good game and atmosphere. That's just really nice to see. What? A tear? Don't be silly. There's just something in my eye.
  5. The more I think about it, think is probably the worst we could possibly get as a seeded team who doesn't expect to win it

LMAO means Laudably Mirthful And Original FYP Edit: Sorry kid Icarus Always assumed it meant "For Your Perusal" for some reason That would be the poshest acronym ever. Apart from LMAO, which means Laudably Mirthful And Original
  8. I agree with that, seems daft. The main thing knock-out competitions have going for them is the upsets and the idea anyone can win them, seeding them just means that it's pretty much always the same teams that win or nearly win the league every year, because they get an added advantage on top of the money and players that keep them at the top.
  9. Seeded: Everton, Birmingham, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke, Fulham, Sunderland, Bolton, Wolves, Wigan, West Ham, Newcastle, West Brom, Blackpool, Burnley, Hull, Portsmouth, Leicester, Swansea, Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Watford, Preston, Cardiff*, Sheffield United*, Reading*. Headline saying he's not left, Marseille want to keep him, he wants to go to Newcastle.
  11. As long as his health will allow him, have you seen the fucking colour of him? He's only more bout of screaming at the assistant and pointing at his watch from something popping somewhere.
  12. Chelsea or Arsenal. Most of their fans are at the other end of the country, so it's not as unbearable as it would be if Man U or Liverpool won it, seeing as their plastic 'fans' are inescapable, all over the country like a rash.

Hmm, is his desire to play in the Prem really going to be able to over-rule OM's desire for readies up front?

    Sunderland...

Mackems getting placebo pissed from the unbeknownst-to-them alcohol free beer they serve in German stadiums and singing about 10 German bombers.

Think we can afford to have one talented bit-of-a-dick, we used to have a teamful, but now we're pretty full of good lads who put the shift in but aren't really the best in the world, bless 'em. Even if he's a bit sulky or whatever, I'd like to think we'd give those kind of players arfa chance before deciding we hatem.

Why did Sunderland choose Welbeck over him? Hell why are Birmingham looking to buy Charles N'Zogbia when they can get this guy? Where are West Ham, Wigan, Stoke, Blackburn? Like I said, why not wait 12 months before deciding whether this is a good move or not? I'd be delighted to be wrong. How come you're not waiting 12 months before giving your opinion on the transfer? Well if you look at my posts, I say things like "could be", "unsure" "uncertain" "gamble," things which I won't know for 12 months and am happy to admit that. And people saying this seems to be a pretty risk-free and positive signing won't know if that's true for 12 months either, but they're the only ones who apparently shouldn't have an opinion about it for another year.
  19. I think I've just realised there's nothing Piers Morgan could do or say that would make me think he was any less of a cunt

Perfect, they aren't coming to Newcastle so they pass the first test for players we should be getting.

So what should the transfer policy be if anyone who would play for Newcastle must be shit? "Hi, we're interested in signing your young striker." "I've spoken to him and he's said he'd be interested in the transfer" "You've just talked yourself out of a deal, good day sir!" *click* brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  23. Conversely, team for team we're better. And hopefully we'll only have one manager this season instead of 5.
  24. We'll be fine man, I'd say we're going to be practically safe with 3 games to go.
