  1. Happy with the result, disappointed with the performance. Seemed to revert to prior form with a lack of movement first half. Very static, WBA harried and chased and generally showed a lot more energy. Sissoko and Gouffran the only two who looked arsed. Second half an improvement but still not a very good game from either side in all honesty.
  2. imagine he curls up into a shola pod for 20 years Jeepers Creepers style
  3. Good goal. Shite half. As usual the gameplan of any team, whatever their league position, that gives us the most trouble is: 1.Everyone run at full speed towards whatever Newcastle player has the ball. 2.Wait for the mistake. 3.Profit Utterly silly how long it's been like this that we can't figure out how to pass and move around teams that press with any kind of intensity. Equally odd how few teams attempt it against us given its efficacy.
  4. on the basis of this 5 minutes we're easily getting relegated.
  5. Anyone who hands 3 points to that fat bastard deserves to be sacked, if not executed. Realized now I typed fat sam instead of big sam. Still, if the shoe fits
  6. Jol may finally be axed I guess. I thought he'd last until the new years but losing to fat sam allardyce may be the last straw.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Our strikers are prepared (all praise be to Pardew) when the opportunity arises, other teams' strikers not so much.
  10. In my interactions with their fans online they've been a lot more snide and dickish about both their slight rise from mediocrity and our (mis)fortunes ~ 2004-present. Just don't like them. So fuck them.

Not bad advice against a free scoring side like Norwich City.
  13. Jozy update: still a bad fail striker lol
  14. I'm tempted to agree, hypocritical to get offended by this when it's fairly common on here. Well it's not like anyone's setting fire to crosses on his lawn, is it marra? Nah, just a bit of harmless bants. Everyone knows they love their fried chicken, rims and fat white women, right? Harmless bants is all. It's not like I'm plotting the systematic financial ruination of his race just pointing out some differences for comedy's sake like, nowt wrong with it. I'm allowed, after all, because I don't actively discriminate during my day to day activities. That's earned me the right to deliver less racist but still racist remarks, I reckon.
  15. I don't get these constant criticisms of those taking offense tbh. Are they supposed to apply some kind of social triage to these situations and only yell about the big ones that you tell them they can care about and ignore everything else? Does reading that sentence help highlight the ludicrous nature of your criticism? That some ills are worse than others doesn't mean anyone has to keep quiet about the small ones and only shout about the large ones. Indeed it's the accumulation of these small social ills that can give rise to larger ones and they are every bit as much worth calling out when they happen. The problem about "zero tolerance" policies towards racism, is that it also makes it impossible to objectively discuss racism and if anything, adds that bit of temptation to simply be racist for the sake of being racist. The problem isn't about keeping quiet about the "small ills", the problem is that we're calling it an ill at all when there was no malicious intent whatsoever. No it doesn't. That's an inane, baseless talking point thrown out to derail conversation. I'm at a loss for words as to why people like you and unbelievable want to redefine the discussion of racism to "anything short of literal genocide isn't racism, and if you discuss it you're actually harming the anti-racist movement." You want to talk about making discussion impossible? Look in the mirror.

That some ills are worse than others doesn't mean anyone has to keep quiet about the small ones and only shout about the large ones. Indeed it's the accumulation of these small social ills that can give rise to larger ones and they are every bit as much worth calling out when they happen. Couldn't disagree more. There is a massive difference between racism (i.e. acknowledging there are differences between several races of human beings) and racial supremacy, institutionalised racism or even discrimination based on race. To play the racism card each and every time there is an air of potential racism about something without looking at the context to my mind diminishes rather than strenghtens the justified battle against the latter (true and infinitely more damaging) types of racism. So it sounds like there's a definitions problem as basically no one is defining racism as you are, and when it comes to the "racism card" that's actually a term meant for one of two things - 1. to transform a non racial issue into a racial issue in order to shift the conversation or gain advantage (not happening here as the issue is clearly race) 2. to accuse other people of doing the first in order to dismiss and belittle their claims (this is what you're doing) as spurious. By all means don't be offended if you're not offended but just don't think you have carte blanche to tell other people they shouldn't be, or that if they are, it's only because they're "playing a racism card".
