  1. Jonjo's so close to piecing it all together it's almost tragic "so you run a lot" "yes" "and it seems like you've constantly got the ball" "yes" "and when you don't, you're in good positions to challenge and win the ball" "yes" "hmmmmmm"
  2. actually laughing out loud remembering 'couscous nonce'. The best thing he ever did was an insult he never actually said.

Seems like a lot of trouble to go through a whole interview when you could just to ring up Charnley and let him know you're here when Bruce goes.
  4. The whole point of the forum, a forum, any forum is discussion wether it be agreeing or disagreeing with points of view. Don’t agree with having any thread where you can only comment if it’s to agree with others. That’s mental At a wide view "forums are about discussion" At a more granular level "threads are discussion about specific subjects/ideas" A thread absolutely can have a focus and a tone set, and the posters in it should respect that. You wouldn't jump in the matchday threads to talk about cars and then say "but it's a forum for discussion" when booed, why should this be different? If that common courtesy is "mental" to you I don't know what to say.
  5. yo seriously this is literally the "positive optimism" thread and if it pains you to see people hopeful just don't read or post in it. if you think they're delusional to the point of real life harm please contact the authorities. there's absolutely no value at all in waltzing in and thinking you're about to debunk everything with an ill wrought tweet and a condescending smirk. great. take that to the takeover thread. this is for morons like me to be blissfully, willfully ignorant of whatever landmines you think we're dancing over. let it be
  6. Aye it's never been more than "ohhh that's a bit naughty isn't it ... they probably shouldn't be doing that."
  7. Can't remember what it was exactly, but only a week ago there was already talk of relations cooling between US and SA. Some sort of trade agreement had been torn up, or something. Might have been arms trade, but it is definitely a sign that things are changing. Can't find any of the reports now, like. The US is reliant on Saudi oil not a chance. They’ve halted arms deals that’s about it. There is no way the U.K. will follow suit after brexit, not a chance. This will blow over as everything else has it’s a non event. KSA only represents 6% of our oil imports. We're far more reliant on Canada (48% !!!) and Mexico (7%) as they're over half. Relations with SA are more about stability in the region for the sake of others' oil.
  8. Then why do people keep saying this in the first place? News by Christmas, positive developments in January, should hear positive news at the end of February/start of March, now no wait, it wont be until Summer. Im sure folk coming out with this have the best of intentions, whether thats ITKs or journalists, but its hardly surprising when these dates sail by with barely a mention of any news people start calling bullshit. I'm sure everyone by this point fully appreciates how complex and drawn out these things are like. Because irritable neandertals keep reacting to it.
  9. 6 players in the man u half, pressing. like fuck is this down to bruce
  10. I know a thousand people have put it better by now but it's like we really do play a completely different sport than these
  11. you can't coach pashun and heart he's not a radgie just misunderstood, we'd be alreet with a few more like him in the side
  12. Not willingly walking into almost certain relegation a second time isn't cowardice, I don't know how you got to that conclusion. I wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to spend another season in the championship for a second time.
  13. he'd be a glutton for punishment if he did. Couldn't salvage McClaren's efforts and I doubt he'd be able to with Bruce's either. I don't think the knives would be necessarily out though; they weren't the first time around and it would be a tall order for anyone in the world regardless. also why come back to feast on a turd pancake a second time? If he's truly wanted then he'll wait for the summer and see if we stay up.
  14. The class gulf between the two clubs, from top to bottom, off and on the pitch, and on the touchlines, is just breathtaking
  15. 100-to-1 Bruce blames too much input from Jones as the biggest contributing factor for the loss in the post-match interview
  16. I had shit to do anyway. small blessing this only ate half an hour.
  17. Maybe they're finalizing negotiations on a boat because of the implications.
